Chapter 1~ a new start

Hi my name is April and I'm twelve years old. I just moved here to LA California. One hobby I like is watching youtube, mostly Rhett and Link. This morning started like ever morning. I woke up to the noisy sound of my alarm clock, it was 5:30 in the morning. I slowly inched my way out of bed and got some clothes out of my closet to put on. I put on a pair of dark skinny jeans, a black t-shirt with a green hoodie over that.
After I got done getting dressed for school for my first day of seventh grade I went down stairs, out of my room to the kitchen. I opened the wooden cupboard and got some frosted miniwheats out and poured them into a dark blue, glass bowl. Then I got milk out of our stainless steal fridge and poured it into the bowl. I put the bowl down onto the table and started to eat.
By the time I was done it was almost 6:00 so I sat down in the living room and turned on youtube on my iPhone 4s. I typed in GMM and clicked on the channel, then the new episode and watched it.
When GMM and GMMore was over it was 6:30. Then I heard a muffled voice from the hall. Thankfully it was just my mom, "I'm heading to work!" "Okay, love you, bye." And with that she walked out to her silver car and left to work.
I am an only child and my dad was already on a business trip so I was home alone. We moved here to California because my dad had a better job opportunity.
I went to the hall and then into the bathroom to fix chin length black hair. I snatched the hair brush off the countertop and brushed my hair. The clock said 7:30 AM so I left the bathroom and started to put on my Rhett and Link mythical shoes. When I walked out the door with my shoulder bag I realized I forgot somthing. I ran inside quickly and got my glasses the I came out to start waiting for the bus again.
The houses next to me had first and second graders waiting but then I noticed across the street, a few houses down was a boy my age.
When the bus slowly rolled to a stop I walked up the stairs and through the small hall. I decided to sit at the seat right next to the boy I saw.
When I sat down I took my bag off my shoulder and put it on my seat. Then the boy looked at me and said "hi I'm Aaron, you must be new here." "I just moved here fro Michigan." I responded. "Oh and my name is April." He held out his hand then I grabbed it and shook it. "What grade are you moving to?" Aaron asked me. "Seventh." "Oh me too!" Then I asked "what classes do you have?" We both got our schedules out and compared them. It turned out they were exactly the same. "Are you a mythical beast?" He suddenly asked out of nowhere as he looked at my shoes. "Ya I actually am. You?" "Ya I've actually been one for a while. It's pretty cool to meet another." Just as Aaron finished his sentence the bus pulled up to the middle shool. When the bus rolled to a stop we both stood up and said "ladies first." He let me get off then he followed.
