Jimin lay motionless in the hospital bed, still unconscious. His grandfather, Harabeoji, sat beside him, his weathered hands trembling as he held Jimin's limp hand. Namjoon stood nearby, his face pale with worry. The beeping of the monitors was the only sound in the room, a constant reminder of the fragile state Jimin was in.

Harabeoji was still in shock. When he first received the news, he could hardly believe what he was hearing—*Jimin involved in an accident*. He hadn’t even known his grandson was coming home. Jimin had asked Namjoon to keep his return a secret, planning to surprise him.

But this… this was the most unpleasant surprise of all.

Tears welled up in Harabeoji's eyes as he looked at Jimin’s peaceful face. The joy he’d imagined at their reunion now felt distant, replaced by fear and heartbreak.

"Harabeoji, do you want to go home?" Namjoon asked gently after noticing the weariness in the old man's eyes. They had been sitting beside Jimin since last night, neither of them leaving his side.

Harabeoji shook his head, his voice trembling. "No, my Jiminie is still unconscious." His hand, shaking slightly, reached out to cup Jimin's cheek. The sight of his grandson lying there, hurt and vulnerable, broke his heart.

Jimin's forehead bore stitches from the glass fragments, and his skin was mottled with bruises, one large and dark from where he must have hit something hard. Harabeoji's eyes filled with tears as he lightly brushed a thumb over Jimin’s uninjured skin. "My poor grandson," he whispered, voice thick with sorrow.

"Harabeoji, you need to rest. You haven't even slept," Namjoon said softly, trying once again to persuade the old man. "You need to take care of your health."

Harabeoji sighed, his gaze never leaving Jimin's still face. His heart ached, but the thought of leaving his only grandson was unbearable. "Namjoon," he said quietly, "you go home first. I want to stay with Jimin."

His voice was filled with a quiet determination. He couldn't bear the idea of not being there when Jimin woke up, to see his grandson’s smile and hear him call out, *Harabeoji.* That moment was all he wanted—more than sleep, more than anything.

Namjoon, sensing the depth of Harabeoji's love and resolve, decided not to argue. He understood how important it was for Harabeoji to be there for Jimin, so he settled into a nearby chair, prepared to stay by his side.

A few moments later, Harabeoji’s weary eyes noticed a subtle movement. Jimin's finger twitched ever so slightly. The old man’s heart leaped.

"Jimin..." Harabeoji called softly, leaning closer. His voice was filled with both hope and desperation. "Jiminie."

He gently clasped Jimin’s hand, the warmth of his touch a silent promise of unwavering love and support. The movement, however faint, was a beacon of hope for Harabeoji, a sign that his beloved grandson was still there, fighting to come back to him.

“Harabeoji...” Jimin’s voice was barely a whisper, hoarse and strained. He had heard his grandfather's voice through the haze of unconsciousness. “Water...”

His throat felt parched, and he tried to speak through the dryness. “Blur, why is everything so blurred?” Jimin asked, squinting and rubbing his eyes with his fingers. The world around him remained a hazy fog.

“Do not rub your eyes,” Namjoon said quickly, noticing Jimin’s frustrated attempts. He moved to the phone, dialing for the doctor. “I’ll call the doctor.”

Namjoon’s voice was steady, but his heart raced with concern. As he spoke into the phone, Harabeoji leaned in closer, his eyes brimming with tears of relief and worry. He gently stroked Jimin’s hand, whispering reassurances, hoping for a swift recovery.
