"Sir, rogues have been spotted at the eastern border."

"I know, and I assume reinforcements have already been sent," I continue to walk through the packhouse.

"Yes, but the leader is specifically asking for you." Namjoon pushes himself in front of me to wrap me from walking upstairs.

Namjoon is my beta. He may be a bit older than me but he still treats me with respect which I'm grateful for. When I first took over after my father I was worried that I would be seen as a joke due to my age. Most of the time Alpha's take over after their father when they are in their late 20's. I'm only 23.

I let out a sigh as I turn around. " Thank you for informing me hyung, and remember no Sr. I'm still the same dumbass I was in school." I gave him a smile as I walk out of the house. "Stay here! I don't want anything happening while I'm gone!"

"Alright, good luck Kook!" He yelled from inside the house.

Once I made it to the pack's tree line a stripped of my clothes. I don't want to destroy them. I was in no rush. Yes, there were rogues at the border but they were from what I can tell from my pack link with my men they had them under control. I shifted into my wolf form and ran off into the forest to the eastern border. Most of the time your wolf form looks like you. My dark brown almost black paws thud against the forest floor.

I'm mostly going out of curiosity.

Once I reach the border I see my pack worriers ready in formation, waiting. Yugyeom, my head pack worrier stood there waiting in front in his human form.

"Alpha." He bowed his head to me as I walked by. I nodded and walk in front of him. I shift and pull my shorts back on.

"I'm here." I use my so-called Alpha voice. It's strange for me, I'm still not used to it. Namjoon tells me sometimes he can't take me seriously when I speak this way. What I find funny is that it still binds him to submit to me and do as I say.

"Ah, hello Alpha." A man walked forward. He had venom in his tone when he said Alpha.

He was at least 10 years older than me. It was strange. Most of the time rouges aren't in groups. Maybe in a group of 2 or 3 but I've never seen so many in one group, under one command.

"What do you want?"

"Wow, how rude." His eyes are full of mischief.

"Don't waste my time with your games."

"Alright, I'm here to challenge you."

I actually cracked a smile. "To challenge me?"

"Yes, over control of your pack." I stood there in disbelief. This man actually wants my pack. "You can't deny me. I may be an outsider but I know the law." He was right I couldn't deny him.

"Alright, then you also know that any form of interference on you part deems the challenge illegitimate and I remain Alpha?"

"Yes."

I nod my head and link my pack to shift into their human forms. "Common courtesy." I said giving this man a tight smile.

He nodded to his men who shifted as well. The sound of bones snapping and fusing was through the air as men on both sides finished shifting.

As routine my men formed their half of the ring and his men fallowed in suet.

Then it began. We started to circle on another. My rooted instincts to not turn my back on my enemy.

"My name is-"

"I don't need your name." I told him as we continued to circle.

"Wow, rude," he laughed off.

"Well I feel that anyone would be unwelcoming to someone who come to their and threatens everything they have." I bent my knees and lowered myself closer to the ground. My skin tingled, my heart echoed in my chest, and I felt as if I were invincible.

"So, you admit I'm a threat?" He said with pride.

"Not a very good one." I smirked at him.

The steady growth of red in his eyes suddenly came full force. His eyes went from their dark shade to a crimson red. All I could think of how his body will soon match his eyes.

"You are nothing but a child!" He growled out.

"And you are sad and pathetic," I spit back at him. He looked at me with confusion in his eyes, "You are not needed by a true pack. You can only be worshipped and respected by those who don't respect themselves. Who have forgot who they are. You took a group of lost people and turn them into monsters to do your bidding," I try to make myself as loud and authoritative as possible, maybe these people will realize he doesn't care about them. That he's just using them.

There was a developed in rogue culture. Most of the time rogues came from destroyed packs or mateless wolfs. Most of the time they are looking for salvation and a home. From looking at his "men" I can tell they have no idea what they're getting into. Half of them are boys maybe 17 at most. They are thin and look miserable.

Then there is a group of actual men, physically they are men, but they have the same worth as a maggot. No, less. They must this man's his "beta" and "lead warrior." This is no pack. This is people looking for a way to survive when they have nothing. This is in my eyes, a crime.

"And, if I am nothing more than a child, then why are you here? Why are you challenging me to a duel? If you see me as an ignorant child then you truly are pathetic. Fighting a child." He let out a growl and dashed at me.

Can't even control his own anger. He is no Alpha, he is a bully.

He lunges, swing his hands all over hopping that he will catch me some where with his claws. His vain's turning a dark black color as he continued to spiral. Allowing his wolf full control of his body and giving it his anger.

As I continued to avoid him and his attacks he seems to get even more frustrated. He doesn't understand it's all about balance. You and your wolf share one vessel. It is important to create a balance of power or things become out of line.

He goes to claw at my face but I block his hand and place both of my hands on his chest, shoving him away from me. The fabric of his shirt felt as hard and rough as a letter sac.

He stagers back but as soon as he regains his footing he charges again. I'm tired of him. I charge at him at the same time. I jump and flip into the air, grabbing what has left of his shirt. As I come down I pull him over my head, throwing him out of the make shift ring and into a tree cause a loud crack to be heard. I don't know if it's from his body or the tree.

He gets up again, much slower this time but with the same anger. I can see his body start to shake uncontrollably. He let out a roar as he shifts into his wolf. It has the same wild and crazed look in his eyes. Then he charged.
