I walk into my Mother's bathroom holding my purse full of makeup in my right hand. I saw my Mom sitting at her vanity waiting for me to arrive. I smile at myself and sit down next to her motioning for her to face me. I take out my foundation and squirt some on my hands. I then put dots of the foundation on my Mother's face and start to blend it into her extremely pale skin. I then put primer on her to make sure that her skin was very even, and the had some highlighter under her eyes.
While I continue to apply my Mother's makeup I try to make some conversation. "So Mom are you excited for our Christmas family photoshoot? It has been a while since we have done this as a whole family," I say while applying blush to her cheeks. She doesn't answer me so I decided to try again, "You look really pretty, I am very happy that you wanted me to do your makeup this year," I say smiling back at my Mom. She doesn't even try to respond to my comments, all she does it stare at me. Her cold dead eyes were looking into my soul pulling out any evil hidden inside.
I give up on talking to my Mom and focus on putting on her makeup. I finally put on the lipstick that finished her look. I turn her chair to face the mirror and wait for her reaction. I frown when she doesn't say anything to me or even put on a smile. I look at the mirror with her to see if I made any mistakes, but I couldn't find any. I shrug it off and stand up from my chair. I quickly pat off any makeup that would have gotten onto my Christmas sweater and grab my Mother's hand to lead her downstairs.
Getting my Mother downstairs was harder than I thought it would be, she was putting most of her weight on me which made me practically carry her down the stairs. Once I finally got my Mother and me downstairs I gently sit her on the couch with the rest of my family. I step back and take a quick look at my family.
My Grandmother was sitting on the far right of the couch while my Grandfather was on the far left. My older brother and sister who were twins sat in between my grandparents, my younger brother sat on my sister's lap while my younger sister sat on my brother's lap. My Dad sat on a chair that matched the couch next to my Grandmother, and my mother sat on a chair like the one my father was sitting in next to my Grandfather. My other brother sat on my Father's lap while no one sat on my Mother's lap. I smiled at the scene and started to set up the camera.
Once I got the camera set up I quickly sat on the floor in between my brothers and my sister's feet and smiled. The camera made a quick flash and I ran to look at the photo. I smiled when I saw the very pale faces of my family staring back at me. Blood was splatter all over their clothing and their eyes were glazed over. My sister's head ended up falling onto my brother's shoulder making the photo even more perfect. I ran my bloodied thumb over the photo leaving a small blood smear on the side, I then smiled and ran to my family showing them the photo one by one. I then placed the photo into a small frame that was sitting on the table and went back to my family to get them ready for our next Christmas event.
