In life we all make promises that sometimes we could not keep.
Not keeping those promises, especially to a person who truly believes in you, can break his trust in you.
They say that it takes months ever years for a person to trust you, but it could take seconds to destroy that trust.
One day there was a girl named sandy. Sandy had a friend named Bruce who was pretty much a joker and a prankster. Like everybody, everyone has their negative sides; But Sandy never gave attention to Bruce's negative side. She knew him by heart and trusts him very much.
According to others, they don't know why Sandy became friends with Bruce. Despite of Bruce's negative, he always made fun of Sandy, always playing tricks on her. But Sandy didn't mind Bruce playing tricks on her. She always had the patience for Bruce because he is her friend.
But one day there was something Bruce had done that made sandy real mad. Something he made that became a reason for something to be broken.
When Sandy saw Bruce she hurriedly walked towards him. Bruce saw her, but there was something different, the smile he always sees when he's with her is gone. Her smile was replaced with a ferocious look. He thought if there was a problem. When Sandy came near, she shouted at him that shocked him.
"I cant believe you told him that I like him!" Sandy said in a raised tone.
"What? What are you talking about? I told nobody anything." Bruce said in an uneasy tone.
He actually knew what she was talking about but he was too scared to admit his mistake.
The thing is that Bruce accidentally told this guy who Sandy likes a lot since 3rd grade.
He and Sandy made a promise to never to tell anyone but as you can see, Bruce broke their promise.
Sandy glared her eyes on Bruce and said "You told nothing? You told him nothing?" Bruce nodded."I can't believe you. I just caught you red handed and you still have the guts to lie?" Sandy said to Bruce while her hand turned into a fist because, of anger.
"I trusted you, I treated you as a brother, and we even shared secrets together" Sandy started to shout at Bruce. With her eyes full of tears she stared at Bruce.
Bruce was motionless. He could not move his muscles, he felt very sorry for what he did to Sandy, his only girl bestfriend in the world.
The one who always understood him in everything he does.
The one who accepted him for who he really is.
He felt the urge of hugging her, just so that she could feel how sorry he was, but it was too late.
Sandystarted walking away and seeing his bestfriend walk away made his heart ache deep inside.
He followed after her, not knowing what will happen after. As soon as he catches up with her, he grabbed her arm then pulls her to face him. "Look, I'm sorry. I never intended it to happen. It just slipped right out of my mouth." Bruce said looking into Sandy's eyes full of sincerity.
He added. Sandy just looked into his eyes full of discouragement. "I'm sorry also, Bruce. But I trust you no more. After knowing what you did, I'm not even sure if I will be able to call you as my friend anymore. They were right, you ARE a useless friend." Those words struck Bruce's heart. Words full of bitterness and anger.
"No Sandy please don't. Please don't say those words. Im sorry. Please forgive me. I'll change, I promise just don't waste our friendship just like that." He was pleading to her, asking her forgiveness but she was just staring into his eyes. He stared back, he was looking at her like he was looking at a different person. " I Just can't, Bruce. Goodbye." Those were the last words she ever said to Bruce.
Bruce felt his knees softened like jelly. He felt like his heart was torn into pieces, seeing her walk off and knowing that the friendship that they had was over. That is why he promised to himself that he will never break a promise to anyone ever again. Because of being unreliable, the sweet, always smiling, cheerful and beautiful person he knew was gone. FOREVER
