The bubonic plague is the plague that killed many people . The bubonic plague is caused by bacterium , Yersinina pestis . The reason why it is called this is because I 1894 a scientist named Alexandre Emile Jean Yersin found the bacterium by test . a lot of tests . He then called the bacterium yersinia pestis .

The plague is normally spread by flees but humans can easily pass it to other people just by contact. The flees pick up the germs AKA Yersinina pestis .They take the germs and bit the animal/human , the normal animal these flees bit are the , rat , mice , and squirrel. Today the plague is easily treated. Back then , bubonic plague was no joke . There are other types of plague that are more dangerous then the bubonic plague , but the most common one is bubonic plague .
SYMPTOMS
When you get the plague you don't really feel anything, but 1-6 days after you get it you feels pain in Abdomen or muscles . You may cough up some blood . Your whole body can feel chills , fatigue, fever , and malaise . You also might have diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting. You might experience headaches and swollen lymph nodes . Another thing is you might feel a bump somewhere on your body and it's called a bubo .

The bubonic plague is supper rare , only 1,00o per year. If you think that's a lot your wrong , the flu cases per year is about 12,000 . Bubonic plague has been found a lot over the years it's been around , but not found a lot per year .

The bubonic plague started in the 13th C.E. It started in Asia by flees and rats . The flee picks up the bacterium and brings it to there host . They manly feed off of the rat,squirrel,and mice . The animal ( most common is black rat ) they got on the trading boats and went to the places that the boat went to . In the 13th C.E. They left the boat for Britain 🇬🇧 and so they infected the people of Britain . The called it the Black Death , they call it that because of the buboes they would get were black and so when you get that it indicates that you are going to die . So they called it the back plague . People say that the Black Death has nothing to do with bubonic plague but that's a lie . Scientists believe that it is connected .

Chinatown was was put on quarantine for a long time . The people in SanFrancisco were racist because , they only put Asian people in SanFrancisco in quarantine . They didn't let in a white man nor white women , they also didn't let out a Asian man nor women.
