*going back home in Demir'a car*

Demir

Things had changed.

He didn't really know how, and he was not particularly sure when. But they did. He sure as hell wan't looking for any of this. But it happened.

Selin happened.

And now they managed to make everything even more complicated than it already was.

He still could not get the image of her crazy self going into the water. At this point, the only doubts he had was if she had one or two screws loose, because she definitely had one.

She was just so full of life... she had so much it overflowed, and it had got to him at some point.

She was not just Selin, his employee, or Selin, the co owner of his home. She was Selin, the woman who woke him up. The problem was, he didn't know if he wanted to be awake.

It was too soon. He was good as he was. He was finally doing well. He didn't come back for this. Then again, few people understood that that was the thing with this love gig. It didn't come peacefully knocking on your door, checking to see if you're available for something that has the power to change your whole view of the world.

No. Unfortunately, or fortunately, it came tearing down your walls, messing up your head without asking permission. Still, he had zero intention of allowing anything to happen.

They made it home in a comfortable silence. Selin's hair was still wet and she seemed to be in a bit of pain and he wanted to be sure she was all right. As a friend. They could be friends, they were already friendly. He could allow a friendly relationship. It was the only way they'd get thought this whole ordeal anyway.

He parked and slipped out of the car, rounding the hood to open her door. She fumbled with her seat belt and tried to tell him there was no need for him to help her to the door, but she obviously limping and clearly needed all the help she could get. Not that she'd ever admit it, she was the most stubborn woman he'd ever met.

He put his arm around her and together they began walking to their door.

She suddenly squeezed his hand and made them stop, so he had to say something, 'hang on, wait, wait. If it gets worse then we'll go to the doctor, Selin, you're already in pain.'

She went still in his arms, 'Noope, I don't want to go to the doctor. They'll only want to give me another injection.'

She really was unbelievable. 'You really are like a little child, Selin. All right, come on, lean on me.'

'It hurts a lot, Demir.'

'I know, I can tell, come on, slower, slower, it's just right there and we're in no rush...'

Then she just gave up and turned to look up at him. 'Demir...'

'What?'

'Why did I just took off and went?'

He had to work really hard to hold the smile tugging at his lips, 'It could have been worse, you know. You could have hit your head, too.'

She just shook her head at him. 'I don't even know how to jump properly, what was I thinking?'

He could only guess at what was going on in her head, 'all right, stay still, watch out for you foot.'

'What, should we just stay here indefinitely?' Then she burst out worried, 'off, Demir, it's not broken, is it?'
