The fairy sat upon a vine that connected from one tree branch to another, soaking in the warm evening sun of the forest that glowed a crimson orange and red through the cracks of the treetops. A breeze making the ginger hair flow and the skirt shifting in the wind like it weighed nothing.
The fairy wore a light crème dress that sat just off her shoulders, the arms puffy as they hung effortlessly around her arms. The chest area was like the arms of the dress that fit down to the waist of her small petite body before flowing out like a flower down to the knees. The dress was held in place by a maroon leather corset fastened by thick string. A leather necklace was fitted around her neck with a small pink flower in place. The fairy's hair fell down the back of her body sitting nicely at the waist, a few plaits where present in her hair, tied at the ends with makeshift bobbles made from small thin vines.
The fairy's skin was a pale colour with freckles that dotted along the bridge of her nose almost like constellations. Ears pointy and stood tall, eyes as blue as the sky with thick long eyelashes that bounced as she blinked. Pale pink and orange eyeshadow sat lightly upon her eyelids. Wings shimmering a transparent white so pure as if light was held within them. They sat placed around the shoulder blade area. Fluttering every so often.
She sat swinging on the vine. A butterfly with vibrant colours fluttered in front of the fairy before perching upon the hand that was offered to her, the butterfly looked elegant as they slowly opened and closed their wings letting the glow of the sun make the colours of the wings look brighter than usual.
A big hollow Oak tree stood tall in the middle of the small clearing. Carved out of the tree walls was windows with patterns, a door with a round doorknob and a heart in the centre top of the door that hung open fully. Small stoned steps led down from the door connecting to a stoned path. The path slowly got smaller as it vanished into the forest. Branches swirled around the home from the top of the tree to the bottom, long bulky roots pocking out of the ground, long green grass surrounded them like a blanket.
A tiny sign planted into the ground on a wooden pole claiming whose home it was, fancy writing carved into the sign spelling out the fairy's name. Flowers of all kinds, poppy, lily, blue bells and queen tears dotted around the forest floor like a rainbow.
The fairy would dance around the clearing for what seemed like hours. Her laugh could be heard as she spun around, her dress flowing and turning with her. A smile as bright as the evening sky. She can feel the grass on her bare feet, cushioning her every move, jumping up and allowing her wings to glide through the air as she circled back down to the ground like a feather. As she came to a holt, she opened her eyes realising she had gathered a small audience. Creatures and animals standing or perching on a rock as they watched the fairy dance in awe. The fairy took a bow with a giggle before continuing with her dance.
