Eddie... Eddie...Eddie...

"Eden! Can you hear me?"

I turn toward Stef as she rumble on and on.
"Why aren't you going in? Are you feeling faint?" She looks so worried, and anxious. She think she is so smart doesn't she?
"I don't understand why we are all going grocery shopping together. I mean, just you and me, maybe. Both parents? Weird"
It's some kind of trick of them. "Oh, look at all those vegetables! We are so excited to prepare and eat them and so should you!"

"Eden you are too stressed out, if  that's what you really want I can leave..." Lena try to guilt trip me.
I resign.
"I just have a bad feeling" I say as I go into the car.
The glance they give each other doesn't help either.

...

Clouds. The letter s. Additions or corrections. My bag in the back.
Wait, what?!?
Nononononononono
"Mum, stop the car"
"What are you talking about we're almost there"
I start panting.
"I mean it. I can't. I can't go. How could you?? I don't believe v it."
Lena turn around and try to calm me down by putting her dirty, lying, traitor hands on me.
"DONT TOUCH ME! EVER! HOW.." my voice crack . I can see the hospital just around the corner.
I try to open the door, both mothers yelling. I kick the door a few time but they've locked it.
"Mama... Mama... Please, don't do it. Don't leave me there. I can't survive it. You know I can't.  Stef listen please. Turn around."
I keep muttering again and again. Don't leave me. Don't leave me

They won't even talk to me. She park as if nothing. I see tears coming down Lena cheeks, I bet it was her idea.

I grip so hard the car's seat I almost break my fingers. They've called two male nurses/security or whatever. I wail. I scream. I'll go down sure. But in won't be easy. They can't do it to me. They can't. They...

We arrived at the psychiatric floor. Soon I'll pass through doors that won't let me cross them again till I die. I take my bag from Stef, silently. I turn around and start walking backward toward the yard. Looking them in the eyes. It's not just a goodbye. It's a funeral.
