~December 2016~

"This is amazing! How did you even do it without the alcohol?" Harry grinned, taking a big gulp of the red liquid.

"I told you, it was easy!" She danced around him in the kitchen, putting away the sticks of cinnamon and fetching herself a clear, glass mug.

"Well it tastes like Christmas, it's exactly what I needed before our venture out," He watched her scoop some of the mulled 'wine' into her mug, carefully placing in some dried oranges and pulling out her phone.

"Yeah, about that..." Meghan looked up after taking a speedy snap of the festive beverage, "I'm not sure it's a great idea, the middle of London looking for a massive tree."

"Hey. It's the one thing I wanted to do; it'll be fun. We need a tree in here, it's looking very glum for December. Plus, I bought all of those decorations so that we could put it up tonight, we can't bail now."

"You're seriously going to carry a six-foot tree through Battersea?"

"Yep, I'm six-foot one and a half, I'll be grand."

"If you say so! This is your territory after all."

"It is. My country, my rules." Harry pulled her closer by her waist, and she looked up to place a gentle kiss on his soft lips. They tasted like cinnamon, but sweeter.

"Drink up! We ought to get ready to go in a minute, it will still be here when we get back, only better," Meghan rubbed her thumb over his shoulder as his brushed her hip, before placing her drink onto the counter.

"Why would it be better?"

"Infused with the smell of the pine," Meghan stated with a smile, heading off to find her scarf and a beanie.

"I'm just going to keep drinking it!" The ginger shouted as she left the kitchen-diner, watching her before he filled his mug up again.

"It's beautiful," Meghan's eyes widened as they both wandered through the markets in Battersea. Swinging their linked hands back and forth, the couple ogled at the twinkly lights and smell of roasted chestnuts paired with hot chocolate.

"I told you it's worth the cold," Harry squeezed her hand tighter, lifting both their hands up to scratch his brow.

"And I told you, you haven't seen Toronto!"

"Hmm, well you still look all cute wrapped up."

"So do you," She grinned cheekily as they peered over a stall selling adorable, handmade ornaments. Keeping hold of Harry's hand, she used her other to reach a small, felt beagle wearing a bobble hat and mittens.

"He's cute too," She spoke quietly.

"As cute as me?" Her boyfriend whispered and she laughed.

"Of course not," Meghan placed the decoration back down and the two dawdled down towards the Christmas trees.

"Okay, we can't go too big, it won't fit through the front door," The brunette looked up at Harry gazing at the tall ones, and tried to reign him back in.
