It would have been a normal day, but it was VMA day, so it wasn't.

"Ah VMA day. Also when are we performing?" Tori asked, walking in my room at 7:00 in the damn morning.

"We're opening and get the hell out of my room," I grunted, turning over on my bed to look at my best friend. Tori gave me a look that said, "Get up and get downstairs. Now" upon seeing her face I groaned, rolled out of bed, dragging my duvet with me. I was super mad about having to get up so I decided to piss Tori off and roll down the stairs.

"Jess, there's no one more dramatic than you, you know that, right?" Violet asked me when I got downstairs.

"Yea I had a feeling," I responded. "Where's Paris? I asked.

"She went to Dennys to pick up breakfast," Violet told me.

"Do you know what she got me?"

"Strawberry crepes. I told her to get you then because I knew that if she didn't, you would throw a fit."

"Vi, you are one smart cookie," I grinned.

I sat down on the couch and turned on Netflix.

I heard the door open then a voice. "We need to finish our episode of Once Upon A Time," Paris said, walking through the kitchen.

"CREPES!" I yelled, jumping off the couch.

"I got you a strawberry milkshake, too,"

"Thanks," I beamed.

"Bri, what time is Michael picking us up?" Violet asked.

"He's picking us up at 5:00." I said with my mouth filled with food.

I went upstairs to go grab my phone. I had to text out manager, Sabrina, and tell her that we were going to do our hair and makeup rather than having to pay a stylist to do it for us.

We had to do a quick rehearsal, then we went and got mani- pedis, then went back to the house to get ready. I had 2 hours and 5 minutes. I was playing with fire. It usually took me 4 hours to get ready for award shows.

I'm in the middle of tying up my platinum blonde hair when I got a notification. It was from Twitter.

@ jessielove omg your dress is so slutty I think Michael should find a girl that can cover herself up

Nothing new. I was a bit too used to all the hate. I knew that I would have to deal with it from the day I signed that contract.

About 3 minutes later my phone rang again. This time I knew exactly who it was. Michael always had my back when it came to stuff like this. He had replied to the hater with a paragraph about how I'm a confident person and that I can wear whatever the hell I want.

I was so lucky to have him.
