Judges may address the following during their critics though it is entirely optional:
* does the font correspond with the cover as a whole? is it too harsh? does the color scheme match the wholesomeness? * do the colors blend together? are they too contrasting? are they too soft? too harsh? do they provide a good color palette to the cover as a whole? * are the colors blended correctly? are they too prominent? was any blending present? (blending can be in the form of blurring lines +/- softening edges). * do the objects/faces pop? do they pop abnormally? do they pop to match the blending tones of the background? are they too harsh? are they too soft? * were overlays added to highlight some parts of the objects +/- background? were the kinds of overlays added appropriate? were they too harsh? do they overshadow the theme too much? * did the book cover suit the designated theme? in what way was the theme applied? was the theme mixed with other themes?
