I look up at the mirror in front of me fixing my hair and patting down my dress. I smile at my perfect reflection and grab my fake crown to put it on my head. I take one final look at myself before heading out to the theater for a dress rehearsal. I sit in the red chairs that faced the stage.
After a while, the main character appears on stage. She is dressed exactly like me and even had on the same smile I had on when I tried out for the part that she had. I stare dagger into her but sadly she never seemed to notice me. Once rehearsal is over with everyone stands up and claps for the girl on stage. I stay put in my seat and evilly grin at her from afar.I follow her back to her dressing room that the school prepared for her. I sat on her small couch watching her get out of her costume. She then put on her regular clothes and redid her stupid makeup. I watched as she answered the door when a faint knock was heard throughout the room.
She squealed and guided her friends into the room with her, motioning for them to sit on the very couch I was sitting on. I quickly moved before I could be sat on and quietly listened to their conversation.
"Oh my god, Gwen! You are going to do so great during the play tomorrow!" one of her friends yelled while hugging the role stealer.
"Yeah, you looked so pretty on stage tonight." Her other friend softly stated to her.
"Awe thanks, girls!" Gwen simply said before sitting on a chair that was placed next to the couch.
"Um, Gwen? Why is it so cold in this room?" one of the girls questioned while hugging her arms for warmth.
"Oh, that is just my ghost friend, I think that it is good luck," Gwen said before immediately looking back down at her phone.
I scoffed at the stupid comment Gwen made. No ghost is good luck and a lot of bad luck is about to head her way.

The following night I followed Gwen everywhere she went until it was time for her to come onto the stage. The rest of the cast finished singing about how great Gwen's character is before throwing glitter and making smoke appear in everyone's faces. Once the smoke cleared Gwen was in the middle of the stage posing. She was about to open her mouth to sing before I pulled on a rope next to me making a large cloud prop fall right onto Gwen.
Everyone gasped and people started to run off of the stage to get help. Everyone was speechless beside me. I was snickering as I walked onto the stage next to the cloud. I bent down and watched as my pale hand went straight through the prop. I smiled coldly and simply stated, "This is what you get for ruining my chance to be the star. Your stupid ghost friend wasn't a friend at all. If you live through this I will make your life a living hell," I then watched as medics slowly arrived and people started to cry.People kept walking through me as I looked up at the bright lights while standing in the middle of the stage smiling. I was finally the star of the show, and no one can get in my way.
