Chapter 13

Story Start

Jordan's POV

After my little sleep spell incident I decided to take a walk along the beach. The water was hitting the shore line and colorful sea shells washed up on the white sand. The smell of saltwater fulled the air as the green Palm trees swayed in the wind. Walking up to one of my favorite spots, I sat on one of the massive rocks staring into the blue ocean. As I was looking out I noticed something, a fleeting flash of red in the ocean. Gracefully jumping down from my high perch I went to investigate. As I neared the water I saw it again only more vibrant. Stepping into the shallow waters I looked around. Then all the sudden a person emerged from the water. A mermaid! She had bright red hair, a purple top, and tan skin. I backed away knowing that mermaids around here are not the friendliest. The mermaid quickly waved her hands indicating that she meant no harm.

"Wait please I'm not going to hurt you!" She spoke, swimming a bit closer to me. When I was sure what she said was true I gave a smile and said,

"My names Jordan, what's yours?" She smiled back and said
"It's Ariel, nice to meet you."

"So what are you doing up around these waters don't mermaids stay in the deeper waters?" I asked curiously, she smiled and pulled out what looked like a pouch. When she opened it it contained many different things that you would find from the main land.

"I'm collecting lost things, would you like to help?"

So that's how I spend the afternoon, collecting things and talking. She told me what it was like in the deep sea, about some of the other mermaids, and how she would like to able to have legs to go explore land. I told her about my stay here at the island and how I love it here. After a while she said she had to go, so we both parted ways. I made my way back to camp saying hi to all the boys along the way. I went back to Peters and my tent and found him hunched over the desk as usual thinking about something.
Walking behind him I wrapped my arms around his shoulders and leaning my head on one of them.

"Where have you been love?" He asked curiously, while looking over what I believe is a map of never land.
"I was walking along the beach and meet a mermaid named Ariel. we spent the day looking for "lost things" as she put it." I told him, he motioned me to come in front of his chair, and I did. What I wasn't expecting was for him to grab me.
Peter's POV
When Jordan was in front of me I grabbed her hand and pulled her so she was sitting on my lap and wrapped my arms around her. She gave a squeak when I did not expecting that causing me to laugh.

"Sorry love, but I missed you." She smiled and said,

"I missed you too." God I love her smile, it could light up any dark room and is more vibrant then the sun.

"You do know I love you so much right?" I asked while stroking her brown hair. She giggled and said,

"of course I do silly," and gave me a quick peck on the lips. Smiling I returned the kiss. I do love you so much Jordan.
