Chapter 8

Today was mommy daycare while daddy David had to go for rehearsals for a commercial. I had to get used to him always being away and now more then ever with his dumb movie starting August the hoe. "Mommy's baby look at you three all just eating nice and calm" I took a picture of them to send to they annoying Dad who wanted an update every hour or so especially on baby Jalee.

"Cake" Sierra squirmed around in excitement at her tablet at a big frozen cake. I definitely missed my babies over these past days and they sure did do too because they haven't slept in their own bed. "Carem you look just like your mother you know that. Gonna pull all the cute girls when your older huh" He smiled sticking his hand in mouth.

"How'd I know your boring ass would be up in this house alone talking to your babies. The two times ya ass went outside you caused drama" Melli walked in with a bottle of wine and balloons. "That's not my fault that people wanna act out of line. Plus to ease my mind me and Shane are back to being distant friends, I do not need to go through this again" I cleaned up the babies and let them go to the playroom and put Jalee in his swing for a nap.

"I don't know why when he ain't cut off August like I swear my brother is different. So anything planned for the night or you two gonna stay in and be old together." I laughed leaning against the counter. "I don't know last night was a disaster and I'm not interested in anymore. I don't think the worlds really ready for die hard Shine so home bound."

I was sane for the most part but nobody in life besides Ariel ever really tested me but the more I let August get to me the more I lost myself and just lived by on sex and my kids. During my divorce some days I just drink and have sex with guys I couldn't even remember. "Don't beat yourself up Shine if he says it's you then why your getting so worked up" This conversation needed more then just a bottle of wine.

"I've never ever been through shit like this and David already fell to temptation which led me to years of depression and wondering. I wanna say I'm over it but I'm truly not and just scared this time I won't have a comeback story" Neither one of the girls heard David come in and that he was listening to every word his wife said.

"He's reassured you time and time that this time he's for real so you really have to talk to him. He's not gonna know what you feel unless you say it so please just talk to him" I sighed I knew she was right but if I heard something I didn't want to. "We can talk right now Melli can keep the babies occupied" David stepped in looking worried as hell.

He was only worried because he put his wife once again in a state of not knowing and being insecure. He definitely tried but he wasn't trying hard enough as he could see by the expression written all over Shine's face. "I should start getting paid for watching y'all damn kids" Melli mumbled walking away. "We really don't have to the babies are here and I'd be fine with us just spending time" David grabbed her hand making her sit down next to him.

"I really don't you to ever feel insecure or worried about your position in my life. I knew my mistakes and I knew that we were destined to stay married, Seeing you talk like that don't sit well with me so I ain't even gonna do this movie."

"This is big for you David and I wanna be able to go to the screening and the release party. I'm grateful that your my husband and the father of my kids but I just need time because know I know. She was pregnant once David and you left me for that that will forever haunt me no matter where I'm at...I'm sorry." This was the first real time they'd really sit down and hash out their feelings.

Yes they'd been back together for more then five years but August reopened something Shine never really got to put to bed. "I was a coward ass nigga to ditch my Bestfriend and wife for a chick like that. I'm glad that I'm the end though it was you and always been to have my kids."

Shine smiled she was fine with with conversation and that her husband was looking cute with his fresh line up and touched up braids. "I don't ever remember you looking this good when we first lived in New York. I've seen you been working on that." Dave knew where this was headed just by the lust in her damn eyes.

"Only want me for my piece and love huh Shine Roland Brewster. You need to just fully be Brewster not like you going any damn where" David hands were already caressing Shines butt and would firmly squeeze it time to time. "And what do you want me for huh...let's not even bark up that tree right now. We have a play date with our three little babies" I grabbed his hand pulling him up. "You mean four honey don't speak ill of my sperm up in your uterus." I smacked him upside his head.

"Now I hope my period comes since you wanna act cocky and shit" I crossed my arms across my chest. "Just mean that's what you are."
