"Just staring at him isn't gonna do you any good you know?" Kat said, as you were standing in your backyard, looking across the chain linked fence, staring off at a boy sitting in his backyard in a beach chair, reading a book.
"Why don't you just go over there and talk to him?" Kat suggested and you turn to face her with a un-impressed expression. "Easy for you to say. You're a fucking goddess Kat! I can't even compare to you. He would never like me, I'm too ugly."
"Maggie! You are not ugly just go over there and talk to him. We need a plan... maybe talk to one of his friends first... if he has any.. and then become friends with his friends? Maybe they'll introduce you to him so you won't have to go up and talk to him because your too much of a baby" you look at Kat with a blank stare.
"Great idea, and not funny." You smiled and look around his yard and pointed at a blonde haired kid that was walking past his house.

"I've seen that blonde kid with the boy before"
"Damn... you stalk this boy don't you?"
"No!" Kat laughed and you rolled your eyes and smiled then walked inside.

Here's a quick backstory of how you got here and how you got this huge crush on the boy. Maggie (you) moved into a pretty big house around a year ago. The second you moved in you saw this hot boy outside your window. He immediately caught your eye and you just fell for him almost like magic. This boy likes to read you could tell because he was always on his back porch reading in a beach chair. sometimes when your outside at the same time as him you'll make eye contact or wave at each other. You've still been obsessed with him and yet haven't said a single word to each other. You feel like this is the week that's all gonna change and the boys friends are gonna help you with that, along with Kat of course.

You walked out the front door and ran to the other side of the street 'accidentally' bumping into the blonde haired boy. "Oh my god I'm so sorry" you faked being sorry. Luckily you've had a lot of practice with lying growing up.
"No, no, your good don't worry about it" you let out a small laugh and hold out your hand. "I'm Maggie" he takes your hand in his own and shakes it gently the let's go. "I'm Sam"
"Yeah, yeah, i think I've seen you hanging out with my neighbor, umm.. what's his name again?" Eager to find out his name you were picking at your fingers, looking intently in Sam's eyes.

"It's Colby, his name is Colby"
"Yeah? Are you close?"
"Yeah, we've been friends since middle school" you laugh a bit and smile.
"Well it was great seeing you! Maybe we could be friends?"

"Sounds great" he reply's with a smile and you nod and run back across the street, inside your house, and straight for Kat.
"No doubt this is gonna work!" You smile jumping up and down. You suddenly stop and look at Kat. "What is he doesn't like me?"
"He will like you! You're so pretty Maggie" you roll your eyes and sat on the couch. "No. What if he just wants to be my friend. Or not even! What if I only see him once and never again"
"Then you would've talked to him once and you can move on" Kat said with a smile, plopping down on the couch next to you.
