The Commander-In-Chief

"Do you have everything?" A woman asked.

"No, not yet. I need to get a couple of things from the vault." A man responded.

The woman extended her arm. "Hand me that and go retrieve what you're looking for."

The man grabbed her hand. "I will, but you might as well follow along."

"Are you sure?" The woman asked hesitantly.

The man nodded. "I may need you to retrieve something for me in the future, so yes I am. You're part of this family now, Winter. Its the perfect time to key you in."

The woman, Winter, allowed him to pull her along.

"Do you understand your primary orders, Operative Rose?" The Holographic form of James Ironwood, the General of Atlas, questioned.

After Y/N and Winter collected what he needed, the two of them departed from the house. They traveled to the military base and boarded the aircraft. They were about halfway to Vale when they received a call from command. It was a priority call.

Y/N nodded to the projection. They have gone over the plans countless times in the prior months. "Yes, sir. I understand the parameters of the mission. And I'll act accordingly."

The Hologram smiled in satisfaction. "Then I leave this mission up to your discretion. The future of Atlas and the world are in your hands, Agent Zero. Do well to meet their expectations."

Y/N saluted to Atlas' commander. He would complete this mission like any other before it. He'd do it to a tee. And maybe, just maybe, he'll be able to relax with his family.

James' stance visibly relaxed. This signified to Y/N that what was coming next was personal rather than an urgent matter. "Also, Y/N? Yang's record was expunged as you asked. I wish you luck with her and her obsession. Her punishment will be overseen by you personally. Do as you must with her. If she has even a fraction of her mother's personality, you'll be in for hell."

"And, Y/N? Please give my granddaughters my condolences." James said before the connection was cut. Agent Zero continued to salute even after the hologram vanished.

He lowered his arm and exhaled. He'd have to deal with Yang and her...issues. Maybe, he'll take her to Junior and have her apologize? If she does remember him from long ago, maybe she'll be more obedient to his orders? But that can wait for later. Y/N will have to deal with the Headmaster of Beacon first. And then the Initiation.

The flight was thankfully uneventful. Winter had taken then directly to Beacon. The ship was currently docked next to the other Bullheads, some of which were 'owned', or rather belonged to the Academy. Others belonged to foreign dignitaries. Such as the Bullhead with the Schnee logo and color scheme.

Inside the Atlesian aircraft, Y/N was gathering his items. Winter was observing off to the side. Ensuring sure he didn't overlook anything.

"I guess this is goodbye for now." He stated after he was done with his preparations. He glanced back at Winter before opening the rear hatch.

"I suppose," Winter accepted, with a half-hearted nod. "The next time we'll see each other will be at the Vytal Tournament."

Agent Zero turned towards the female Operative and decided to inform her of his plans. "Actually, during the two-week break, I intend to utilize my place in Atlas. I was wondering-"
