Being a woman in the Philippines is established on culture, standards, and mindsets. The Philippines is said to be a country full of powerful and independent women who can support her family, run a career and play a position in the government. Although they naturally distinguish themselves in the surroundings of a male-dominated post-colonial society, Filipino women stay in a culture that is mainly focused on the community, wherein the family is the central unit.

Women in the Philippines these days are more diverse from then, women before are always noticed to grow up as housewives or satisfy their husbands but women from today are now more self-sufficient for example they can now be breadwinners of the family or now can support their own. The nation has evolved from the metaphorical process ladies as fully subservient and simple people to strong nation builders and leaders.

Education might be one of the regions that women retain excellent in the Philippines. Example of this is Pete Maverick Nicole Estudillo of mindanao, she is the first women who graduated with summa cum laude in the UP Mindanao."When the honor was given to me, I felt happy for UPMin. That the hope that has long been in the hearts of the alumni and the profs, that we'll have a summa, has finally come and I was happy that I get to be the answer to their prayers," she added. Not only men can graduate with flying colors, women can also do it.

In closing,Philippines still has rooms for development in handling issues involving woman, it is by-far a wonderful place to become a woman. One of the best aspects that your country could possibly give to you is the opportunity to strive and establish your own goal without unreasonable boundaries. The Philippines could establish a standard to its Asian neighbors on how to move-on from traditional mindsets and accept that everyone deserves equal opportunities and treatment regardless of image, size, complexion, age, and gender.
