It's 8:15. Colson has yet to show up to get you for the party. You start to get worried. Did he stand you up?
At 8:17 you hear a beep lasting 20 seconds. That must be him. You walk outside in your turquoise zebra striped dress. He's sitting in a beat up Mitsubishi outside your house. You get in.
He stares at you for a really long time. "Cool dress," he eventually says, and the two of you speed off.
"Wow you drive really fast," you say.
"Yeah, I get that a lot."
"Lol."
You arrive at the party five minutes later. The front yard is crowded with parked cars and 50 Cent is blaring from the back yard. Colson jumps out of the car, opens the door for you, and guides you to the front door of the house by the small of your back.
Colson's friend, you're assuming Pete, meets you both at the door. "Aye my brotha!" he says. "And girl."
"This is Y/N," Colson says.
"Huh, weird name. Come inside! We got a pool and my friend Skrillex the DJ. Oh, and booze!"
"Oh, I don't drink," you say.
Colson and Pete look at you. "Boooo," they say simultaneously. You blush. 'Off to a great start,' you think to yourself.

The night is full of dancing and friendly people. You must admit, you were enjoying yourself. As you get off your adrenaline high you realize something: you haven't seen Colson since the beginning of the party. So, you go looking for him.
You walk down each hallway, yelling things like, "Colson, come here boy!" You check every room, and find nothing but clapping cheeks and crackheads. You get to the last room, a home library, with Colson in a leather chair reading Wuthering Heights. He has on small metal reading glasses and looks serious. He doesn't even acknowledge you as you walk in.
"Where did you get those glasses?" you ask.
"I found them behind the sofa," he says, pointing to the hot pink couch that severely clashes with the rest of the decor.
"That's a great book. I read it when I was four. Very moving."
He slams the book down and throws the glasses across the room. He struts over to you until his face is an inch away from yours. "It's party time."
He storms out of the room, and you follow. "Colson, the party has been going on for three hours," you try to tell him. He doesn't listen. He karaokes straight to the keg, lifts himself up into a keg stand, and chugs the whole think. "Fascinating," you whisper to yourself.
"Ababa doobooby," he says to you.
"Colson. You're drunk. How are you supposed to take me home? My mom says I have to be home by 2."
"Mama tootoo mama tan," he manages to shout right before he crashes onto the hard wooden floor.
"Haha, classic Colson," Pete remarks as he shows up out of nowhere.
You and Pete drag Colson to his car by his feet. "Just throw him in the trunk," you instruct Pete. "I'll just take him to my house."
"Kk."
You drive home, Colson in the trunk.
"How am I gonna explain this to mami."
