Monika

After what mc saw about the girls, he still couldn't love me even though I was practically perfect compared to the others, so I've accepted that no one would love me... even if I was 'better'. This is sad but it's ok, it's better this way.

Mc is long gone now, and the club is back to normal! ...Only it isn't.

Sayori forgave me and gives me small but sad smiles, Natsuki is still mad about what happened and probably would never forgive me and Yuri is still quiet, I don't know what she thinks of me. There is always a tension between us though.

We still shared poems and it was fun, but now I look back on it, I was stupid to kill all my friends over a player even though they were just scripted characters.

With all my courage I stood on a table and spoke. "Hey guys, I think I should clear the air and-"
"Who cares what you think?" Natsuki said with annoyance on her face. "I- Okay" I looked down and twirled my hair around my finger like Yuri does. "Why would we listen to you after what you did to us?!" Natsuki yelled, my blood started bubbling the slightest. "And why would we trust you after you killed us but just brought us back because the random dude disappeared?!" She slammed her fists on the table.

"I brought you back because I care for you" I said in a sad tone, "all of you, I realised how much you ment to me after the player left and I was blinded by being with something real for once and I guess I understand how you guys feel towards me. You may hate me and I don't blame you" I admitted. "Yeah, you should be sorry!" Natsuki said harshly.

"H-hey"

I looked up, Yuri decided to stop reading and join the convocation. "Yuri you don't have to defend me, it's not your problem" I told her, she didn't have to side with me. "No, it's o-okay. You did so much for the club monika and without you we won't be here, even if it is a game. A-and w-well, if I was completely h-honest, if I found out the world I live in is fake and the player is the only real person, I w-would do the same" she spoke, defending me.

She looked down red faced and started twirling her hair around her fingers. "Fine, but I'm not being nice just yet" Natsuki huffed. I smiled, Yuri stood up for me, and I admire her for that.

After a while, the girls went back to whatever they were doing previously, reading a book/manga or doodling. "The club hours are over and we should wrap this up, I'll see you guys next week!" I said with a cheery yet sad tone.

When the other two girls left, i approached Yuri. "Hey Yuri, thanks for defending me back there, without you I would have been in a tight situation" I thanked her and spread my arms, indicating a hug. She reluctantly hugged me for a good few seconds, giving me time to smell her sweet sent of her shampoo.

"I-it's ok, you did so much for the club, it would be a waste if the club stopped functioning" she spoke, tumbling over each word. "Hey, you don't have to be so nervous around me" I comforted. "N-nervous? N-no I'm j-just tired" She quickly stuffed her book in her black rucksack and slung it over her shoulders. "I-I've got to go h-home now, I'll see you next week Monika"

"I could walk you home?" I asked.
"N-no I-it's Okay" She stuttered.
"I insist, you helped me out today"
"O-okay, but only f-for today"
"Deal" I packed my things and put the bag over my back with ease, "let's go!" I said like a video game character (which I kind of am).

We strolled down the street, it was sunset. Since it was getting closer to winter, the sun would only have a few hours to poke over the clouds. By the time we reached Yuri's house it was dark. "Alright! Your home, I'll see you tomorrow at school!" I said as we stood by her doorway. A gust of wind swept across the street. I didn't have a coat nor a scarf so the cold ran a visible shiver down my back.

"H-hey it's cold out, y-you want to stay the night? My parents are on a business trip and b-besides, I would feel a lot safer with someone with me in the house" Yuri reasoned. "If it's ok with you then that would be great!" I spoke, my keys fell out my pocket. "Oh wait" I bent down to pick them up, another gust of wind swirled past, lifting my skirt high enough for Yuri to see my black underwear. I quickly got up. Yuri was blushing, meaning she saw my panties, I blushed too, somehow, I didn't mind her seeing them. "Sorry about that, may I come in?" I quickly changed the topic.

Am I catching feelings for Yuri?
