Jungkook sat in silence, trying to process the news. Jimin had dropped out of college, and the rumors spread like wildfire. Everyone seemed to know that the once-popular couple had broken up.

"I knew the two of you were going to break up," Mingyu said casually as he leaned against the wall next to Jungkook. His tone wasn’t sympathetic, more matter-of-fact. He had never fully supported Jungkook and Jimin’s relationship, always pointing out how different they were, how their constant fighting seemed like a ticking time bomb.

Jungkook clenched his jaw, his hands balling into fists. "What do you mean by that?" he muttered, his voice strained.

Mingyu shrugged. "It was obvious, man. You two were always arguing. Too many differences. It’s no surprise it fell apart."

Jungkook’s chest tightened at Mingyu's words. He hated hearing it, but part of him wondered if it was true. Had they always been destined to fall apart?

“What the hell, dude?” Jungkook snapped, glaring at Mingyu.

“That’s the truth,” Mingyu said with a shrug, unfazed. “Jimin isn’t a good man. He’s too friendly with everyone. Besides, he’s a cheater.” Mingyu stressed the word *boyfriend* with disdain, clearly enjoying pushing Jungkook’s buttons. After all, Jungkook had confided in him, told him everything.

“Stop,” Jungkook growled, his hands trembling with anger. “Don’t despise him. No one can insult him. I love him.”

Mingyu rolled his eyes. “Come on, man—”

“I don’t care what you think!” Jungkook cut him off, his voice shaking. “You don’t know Jimin like I do. I don’t believe for a second that he’s cheating. Something’s wrong, I can feel it.”

Mingyu sighed, shaking his head in disbelief. But Jungkook stood firm, unwilling to let anyone talk down about Jimin. Deep in his heart, he knew this wasn’t the real Jimin. Something had changed, and he was determined to find out what.

Mingyu placed a comforting hand on Jungkook's shoulder, giving him a side hug. “You’ll get better than him, you deserve better.”

Jungkook stared blankly ahead, the pain of Jimin's confession still gnawing at his heart. He struggled to believe the words Jimin had said, the lies that seemed so out of character. His heart ached with the weight of disbelief.

“Yeah,” Jungkook said softly, his voice tinged with sadness, “I deserve better. But only he can make me better.”

“Are you crazy, Jungkook? Forget him. Let’s enjoy being single!” Mingyu urged, trying to lighten the mood.

Jungkook forced a smile, but it was hollow, unable to mask the turmoil inside him. His mind was consumed by thoughts of Jimin, and his heart ached with a sense of urgency. He knew something was wrong, and he couldn’t just let it go.

Ignoring Mingyu’s words, Jungkook made a decision. He bought the first ticket to Busan, determined to find answers. Despite never having been to Jimin’s hometown, he was resolute. He needed to see Jimin face to face, to hear the truth directly from him.

“I will find you,” he whispered to himself, a promise he intended to keep.

Meanwhile...

"Hyung, when is Micha noona coming?" Jimin asked, his voice trembling slightly as he clutched Namjoon’s hand tightly. He was anxious, his fear of losing Namjoon weighing heavily on him.

"Just wait a minute, she'll be here soon," Namjoon reassured him with a warm smile.

Namjoon was content, knowing that his efforts to persuade Jimin to accompany him were working. He had made numerous promises to Jimin, all in an attempt to get him out of the house and into a better state of mind. He hoped that the distraction of picking up Micha, his girlfriend, would help Jimin focus on something positive rather than dwelling on his worries.
