Chapter 12

Ender Star of the End Nation

When she entered the room where the Fire Nation warrior and his dragon was being kept Echo and Skylar were kept outside and she was escorted by two Sky Nation Guards who stood on either side of Ender Star. She looked back at Echo and Skylar and saw their worried faces and tried to smile but it came out as a look of helplessness. Ender Star gulped and went forward to meet the Fire Nation warrior, her heart thumping in her chest. About six blocks away the guards stopped following and Ender Star was on her own then her eyes fell on the Fire Nation warrior, he had leaves stuck in his hair, and his clothing was soaking wet. Ender Star gulped and finally spoke.

"Hello?" She asked and to her, her voice sounded like a hopeless squeak but the Fire Nation warrior clearly heard her and looked up from his hands and at Ender Star and she felt her cheeks blush.

"Oh, Hello, are you the End Nation warrior who survived the last attack?" He asked and Ender Star started twirling a strand of hair around her forefinger.

"There's no need to be scared, I don't want to hurt you or anything remotely close to that, I've just come to return your pet Ender Dragon to you." The Fire Nation Warrior replied and Ender Star gasped and looked around the room looking for her pet but she didn't see her poor dragon.

"Where is she?" Ender Star asked one of the guards.

"She's resting in the stables. We can escort you to her if you wish." The first guard said and Ender Star nodded.

"That would be nice." Ender Star said and the Guards escorted her out of the room but before Ender Star left the room she turned to the Fire Nation warrior.

"What's your name?" She asked.

"I'm Blaze, and I need your help." He answered and Ender Star turned to a guard.

"Can he come with us?" She asked The first guard nodded then gestured to the other one who went over and let the warrior out of the cage he was put in. At first he didn't move at all. Then he took a step and then another and the guards escorted us to where Ender Pearl was resting.

As soon as Ender Star saw Ender Pearl's head in the stable window Ender Star ran right into the stables and wrapped her arms around her pet's neck tears of happiness rolling down her cheeks.

"Ender Pearl!" Ender Star said her voice cracking with emotion and she then turned to Blaze.

"Never thought I'd ever be saying this to a member of the clan who destroyed my home and my life but... Thank you." Ender Star said taking Blaze's hand and vigorously shaking it.

"Yeah..." Blaze replied.

"You said you needed my help, what do you need?" Ender Star asked.

"On my way here, uhh... we got caught up in a tornado and my friend, Flare, couldn't hold onto the saddle and we got separated. I have no idea if she's alive but I have to find her because for all I know she is alive and hurt and afraid." Blaze answered.

"Okay, let's do this." Ender Star said leading Ender Pearl out of the Stables and jumping up onto the saddle and holding her hand out to Blaze. He took her hand and she pulled him onto the saddle and Ender Star grabbed the reins and snapped them lightly and Ender Pearl took off riding the wind and gliding over the Spruce Forest. Blaze was leaning over the side of the saddle looking down at the forest below while Ender Star made sure she wouldn't fly right into a tree.

"Flare!!! FLARE!!!" Blaze shouted at the top of his lungs suddenly there was a crack and a boom! and Blaze pointed to the west.

"Over there!!" Blaze shouted and Ender Star pulled the reins to the left and Ender Pearl turned sharply and after she flew for a few moments and then Blaze pointed down and Ender Pearl swiftly landed. Ender Star jumped off the saddle and Blaze jumped off after her. The wind swirled around Ender Star but Blaze ran straight into the storm and Ender Star ran after him he stopped at a fallen tree and kneeled down in front of it and said something Ender Star didn't hear over the howling wind. Ender Star kneeled down next to Blaze and looked under the fallen tree, there was another Fire Nation Warrior who was very clearly a female was struggling under the tree squirming and trying to get out from underneath the fallen tree.

"Flare!" Blaze shouted over the wind and tried to pull the tree off her but it was too heavy and he fell back as his hands gave out Ender Star tried to help and grabbed the tree too and pulled but it was no use.

"Blaze! I have an Idea!" Ender Star shouted through the rain and wind all around them.

"What is it?" Blaze asked as Ender Star reached down to her belt and pulled out a purple bottle with something glowing inside.

"What's that?" He asked again.

"Ender Dragon Acid." Ender Star answered and she pulled the top off the bottle and a purple smoke floated out of it. Ender Star carefully poured it over the blocks of wood on either side of Flare and the acid burned right through the blocks freeing Flare from the tree. Ender Star quickly topped the acid and clipped it back into her belt. Flare tried to get up but she fell back and yelled out in pain.

"Flare? What's wrong?" Blaze asked.

"I don't know but my leg is killing me!" She shouted over the wind and Ender Star felt her left leg and realized that it was broken.

"Blaze I think her leg is broken." Ender Star said and then helped her stand and helped her limp over to Ender Pearl and helped her onto the dragon. Suddenly there was a cracking sound above her and she looked up but she was knocked unconscious before she could see what was happening.
