Kaia began her rigid therapy sessions. Group therapy on Monday's and individual therapy on Thursday's. In between she worked on the workbook that Celeste had given her. In her individual therapy sessions, there were many tears but she admitted to a lot of her past problems and issues and how she dealt with them. At times Marian was brought up. Zayn was brought up many times. And her insecurities were a top topic. In group sessions, Kaia would speak once in a while but most of the time she listened.

She listened to other people's stories and realized that she wasn't alone in the world. People had similar problems to her and some worse than hers. She felt she was getting better. Trying to learn how to cope with her issues and trying to find ways to love herself. Probably for the first time in her life.

She began to thrive at home and her relationship with her husband seemed to be getting back on track. They hadn't made love in weeks, but she wasn't angry about it. They started kissing more and cuddling and she was content with that. At times there were still some tears on her part. She worked hard on owning up to her flaws and knew she'd never be perfect.

She also began to volunteer at a homeless woman's shelter. It helped her to realize the things that she might never have had if it hadn't been for Marian's help.

About a month and a half later Celeste said that Kaia was ready for a session with Zayn. It made her happy and terrified her at the same time. They were on their way to Celeste's office and she nervously chewed on her fingernails. "Thank you for going today," she said as they drove.

"Kaia, relax. You have been making great strides and all of us have taken notice. I believe even Faith can see a change in you."

She glanced at him and gave him a smile. "I know. And thank you, baby," she said. "I guess I'm just nervous because we've never done this together."

"Well, I'm glad that even though we have been married forever, we are still finding things to do that we have never done before," he said with a small laugh.  "Seriously though, you talk very highly of Celeste and I'm ready to be a part of your recovery."

She reached for his hand and held it tightly. He parked the car and they made their way inside. Holding hands the entire way.

Kaia told the receptionist they were there for their appointment and they waited for Celeste to call them back. She looked at her husband and gave him a small smile. "I love you, Malik."

 "I love you, Bennet."

Kaia's nerves were on edge when she saw Celeste standing there and smiling at them. She took a deep breath and stood up and reached for Zayn's hand. "Ready?"

Celeste set down her coffee mug as she was getting ready for the Malik's first session as a couple. She was quite pleased with Kaia in her sessions but was worried things would revert and go back with her need to people please and reach out for love and attention. Celeste was happy she was able to resolve most of her toxic love with Roberto and move on to her other relationships. She walked out to the reception area and smiled at her. "Ready?"

Kaia nodded and held tightly to Zayn's hand.

"Please have a seat, it is nice to see you again Zayn."

 "Thanks, Celeste"

"Kaia, how do you feel about your husband being here?"

Kaia glanced at him and then back at Celeste. "Nervous. Excited. Like I'm going to throw up," she said in all honesty.

"Those are all good emotions to have." She nodded.  "Is there anything you would like to share with your husband. Any questions to ask of him?"

"How do you feel about being here?" Kaia asked Zayn.
