Jacob dreaded having to face Eric and his friends at school the next day. He hated the way that they made him out to seem like the bad guy. Ok ya, so maybe he shouldn't have said what he said to Troye, but Troye is obviously playing the victim card and Jacob had never done anything wrong except break up with the boy for a good reason.

Eric immediately glared at Jacob when Jacob walked into first period. Jacob rolled his eyes, sat next to Hari and started up a conversation with her about the upcoming weekend. That was until Hari interrupted their conversation saying, "Well, that's different."

Jacob turned and saw Troye and Hari was right, Troye was different. His hair was back to brown, he wore a pair of baggy jeans, a baggy band shirt, and a pair of old converse. Eric immediately stood and hugged Troye when Troye came in and over Troye's shoulder Eric caught Jacob looking and the glare returned.

Troye pulled away, once the teacher entered the room and even she seemed surprised by Troye's new old look. Troye climbed into his seat and as he was placing his bookbag next to him, he caught Jacob staring. Immediately Troye looked away and Jacob was almost positive that he saw a quiver in Troye's lip, but he told himself that there was no way whatsoever that Troye was still upset over what he said. Yet, he couldn't really explain the fact that Troye suddenly changed his appearance right after Jacob dragged him for it. Once realization set in, Jacob sunk into his chair. He felt really fucking shitty.

Needless to say, Jacob could not concentrate in class. Luckily with five minutes left, the teacher allowed the students time to chat and decompress. Jacob turned to Hari and said, "I'm such an asshole."

"Why's that?" Hari asked.

"Ugh. I saw Troye yesterday and said some really awful shit to him and he cried and now he, well he looks like that."

"Oh. And you think that's because of you?"

Jacob nodded.

"And that's why Eric is staring at you like he wants you to die."

"Yep," Jacob nodded.

"I don't get it, Jake. Why does everything with Troye still piss you off so much? It's been two months," Hari asked sincerely.

Jacob shrugged and sighed. "I think...I think he's just the first person I ever really had feelings for."

"Hmm," Hari responded, "do you feel as if you still have feelings for him?"

The word no almost skipped out of Jacob's mouth the moment he opened it, but quickly he shut his mouth and considered Hari's question.

"Fuck," Jacob whispered looking over at Troye, "what if I still do like him?"

"I'd say you better get over it fast as there's no way you are getting within three feet of that boy with Eric around."

Jacob groaned.

"Unless..." Hari said.

"Unless what?"

"We could go to Trevor's party tonight. I'm positive Troye will be there with his clique. And maybe, since there will be a lot of people there, you can get Troye alone and apologize."

Jacob sighed and looked back over to Troye and nodded. "Ya, ok. Let's give it a shot."

The rest of the day sucked. Jacob felt more and more horrible with every class. Troye had always had such a glow to him. It was a glow that said happy, confident, and sexy, but that glow was no longer to be seen.

That evening, Jacob fidgeted nervously as he drove to the party with Hari, Adam and Cory.

"So...what are you going to say to him?" Cory asked.
