I woke up to someone kicking my feet off the bed. I groaned and sat up to find Luci standing over me. I sighed and started to rub my eyes.
“What?” I asked, standing up and stretching.
“I found Gemma.” Luci smiled excitedly.
“Yay! Now we can go home.” I smiled back.
“No, now we can tell her and maybe, she’ll help us find our dad.” Luci frowned.
“I’m guessing you want to go now?” I sighed and pulled on my jacket.
Luci smiled and tossed me my keys before heading out the door. I followed her, shutting the door behind me. I walked down to the car and got in on the driver side. I started the car and drove off in the direction Luci told me.

I pulled up to a hospital and looked over at Luci. She just smiled at me and got out of the car. I followed her and stood in front of the car.
“So what exactly are we doing here?” I asked.
“Well, I want to get into to see Gemma and she is with her grandson who was born about 10 minutes ago.” Luci said.
“So how d-“I was cut off by Luci punching me in my almost healed ribcage. “Luci! What the hell!” I screamed.
“Sorry baby sister, but you are a distraction for me.” She said, helping me into the hospital.
Once we were inside, she checked me in then left me to go find Gemma. I waited in a chair, hardly breathing before a nurse called my name. I stood up and hunched over, walking over to the nurse. She looked at me sadly and helped me to a room. I hated pity but right now, it was greatly appreciated. We finally made it to a room where I got to lay down. It was a great relief but I was still in a bunch of pain.
“So tell me what happened.” The nurse said, lifting up my shirt to see my ribcage.
“I was in a motorcycle accident a couple of week ago and broke a few ribs. Well, they were almost healed until I slipped down a few stairs.” I sort of lied.
I was in a motorcycle accident but I wasn’t about to rat out my sister. I laid there, wincing as the nurse pushed lightly on my ribcage, looking for the actual broken ribs. I sighed in relief when she stopped. She pulled off her gloves and left the room, rather quickly. I groaned and sat up, hissing in pain.
“Only here for half a day and already hurting yourself?” A voice asked.
I turned to see the blond guy from the garage with a smirk on his face, though his eyes told a different story. I pulled down my shirt and shrugged.
“I’m clumsy, what can I say.” I smirked back.
“So, what did you want with my mom earlier?” He asked. “Clay told me what you asked.”
“Oh um, my sister and I just wanted to talk to her about something’s.” I say and start for the door, trying to stand as straight as possible.
“You should probably lay back down.” He said, catching my shoulder before I could step into the hallway.
“Nah, I’ll be fine.” I said, not wanting to talk to anyone about my ribs because I’m sure the nurse knew I was lying.
He sighed and let go of my shoulder. “Whatever. I’m Jax by the way.”
“Mercy.” I smirk.
“Nice name, I’m sure it suits you.” He chuckles softly.
“My sister says so but I don’t know.” I giggle some.
“Well Mercy, I got to go. See you around.” He said, walking off.
I smirk some and wave to him before setting off to go find my sister. It was a slight struggle but I managed to find her with an older lady who I assumed was Gemma. She looked slightly sad and hurt so I’m guessing Luci told her about our mom already. I looked down and leaned against the wall, waiting for them to finish up their conversation.
