Justin's POV
"Mister Johnson! Wake up!" I snapped my head up. Shit. I fell asleep again. School was boring as hell. "Thank you for choosing to join the class today. It's not time to check on your subject." The blue man said. He pissed me off a lot, knowing that I didn't have a Subject, he still chose to make fun of me for not having one.
"Yes, Mister Robertson." I called him blue man because he was blue. Literally. I come from a world where people are different colors, shapes and sizes. It was creepy if you weren't use to life like this. Though, honestly I was. I grew up like this, it was literally an everyday thing to walk outside your house and see a brown hairy monster walk by.
"Hey, Justin. Do you know the answer to number 12?" Kristy asked. Kristy was a pink beauty; hot pink colored skin, sky blue colored eyes, and blazing red hair that went to her waist and a figure that made every girl at our institute hate her. I looked down at the problem and read:
If the subject is within moment of being killed, what must the Walker do?
I knew the answer to that one. Nothing. We, the Walkers, do nothing as we watch our subjects die. I mean what can we do? We're in two different worlds! I opened my mouth to give her the answer when blue man called on me.
"Yes, Mister Robertson?"
"Since you want to shared answers with people, tell the class the answer to number 12." He said.
I shrugged and stood up in front of the class. "The answer to number 12 is... Nothing."
"And why is that?"
I sighed. "We are Walkers, we are not guardians. We are not the Walkers who go to earth and watch over the subjects. If a guardian isn't there to protect the human at that time, what can we do? Once the subject dies so do we."
The Blue man nodded and motion for me go sit down. As soon as I got to my seat. Jeremy, the office assistant walked into the room, handing the Blue man a message. Blue man nodded again, looking up at me. "Mister Johnson, the office wants you." I nodded and got up, grabbing my things and handing out the door and to the office with Jeremy.
"Another day of searching huh?" He asked.
I sighed. "Of course another day of being a ghost like figure... I can't seem to find the right subject."
"Well, you know it will be a female. You're clearly a male."
I nodded. "Yes, that's because I chose to be a male. I'm willing to look for a female subject."
"You're lucky. You get to choose! The rest of us didn't, we had it chosen for us. You get the pleasure to pick anyone you want."
I shrugged. "I don't know, I don't feel to lucky right now..."
He opened the door to my counselors office, I walked in. "See ya, Justin."
"See ya." I said as he closed the door. I looked at Miss Walton. She was a fat purple woman with blue hair and yellow eyes.
"Hello, Miss Walton."
"Hello, Mister Johnson." I went to my lab chair and laid down. "Are you ready?"
I nodded. "Yes." She hooked me to the cores. I looked at the machine.
"Alpha waves, Beta waves, Omega waves..."
