Ebony awoke, her eyes refusing to open without a tremendous amount of effort, her body felt like she had been hit by a 18 wheeler truck and to top it all off, once she did eventually get her sleep caked eyes to open she had no idea where she was. She slowly sat up, now noting that she could feel the softness of a mattress under her, she put her head in her hands trying to lesson the pain of an up and coming migraine. Suddenly remembering what happened before she woke up in this incredibly comfy bed, Ebony flung herself out the bed – getting caught up and entangled in the bed sheets and falling gracelessly, head over heels on to the floor just as the door that she had yet to notice, opened revealing in all her glory. Adalaide Hemmingway, dressed in what Ebony could only describe as a stunning designer suit perfectly modelled and fitted to her body. feeling a little self-conscious Ebony looked down only to see that her herself was only dressed in her underwear, she let out a scream of embarrassment and tried to cover herself up with the bed covers she had dragged down with her on her tumble off the bed.
Adalaide laughed at the mess that was Ebony Winters which in return earned her a glare from the younger girl.
"having fun down there Winters?"
"oh, just oodles and oodles of it Adalaide" Ebony reciprocated in a sarcastic tone and a roll of her eyes.
"Well up you get we have a long day today; the rest of your change is happening soon, and I want you to be introduced to my friends before you change"
"Why? What's so bad about the change? Also, you bit me shouldn't I have changed by now?" she said tilting her head to the side a little
"No Ebony this isn't some fantasy book where the turn is instant after you're bitten by some handsome man." "handsome woman more like" Ebony whispered to herself, but of course Adalaide heard it and let a small smirk fall onto her facial features but continued as if she hadn't heard. "the change takes 24 hours, the first 12 are extremely painful but lucky for you, I drank you into unconsciousness, so you didn't feel it while you were having your little snooze. The last 3 hours of the transformation makes you lose your inhibitions and all control. You basically turn into an animal. Ruthless, violent and unpredictable."
At the sound of this Ebony had visibly paled at this but tried to show how much she really wasn't bothered by this information, even though she really, really was. Control was something that Ebony had also prided herself on and the idea of losing the one thing she was proud of scared her. "Well at least I missed the painful part"
"Oh no, you only slept for 11 hours dear, plus it comes in waves and they all say the last hour is the worst" she smiled evilly
As Hemmingway was explaining, Ebony had started to feel a wave of fire cover her entire body, at first it was just an ache that she could deal with but slowly and surely it was becoming a pain she could not stand, unable to hold in her pain anymore she screamed, louder than she had ever screamed before and the fire slowly overtook and overloaded her senses.
