Invasion

Chapter 4: Bad Blood

Leon led the boys back through the hallway and through the second hallway on the right side. At the end of the hallway there was a double sided door, and behind it was a large dining area, Jeff, Grace, Lisa and Alice were already seated at a table.

"Sorry for the hold up" Leon smiled, taking a seat at the table.

Kliff and Dustin sat next to each other, opposing Lisa and Alice while Flake sat next to them and next to Leon, Grace sat next to Alice and Jeff was next to Grace.

"Took you long enough..." Lisa growled.

"Remind me why we all have to sit at the same table again?' Alice questioned.

"Yeah, I don't know how much longer I can tolerate the rest of you..." Lisa grumbled.

Jeff loudly cleared his throat, Lisa shot him a nasty look, rolled her eyes and looked away.

"Well considering we are all from different clans, I thought the best way for us to bond was over a meal" Jeff answered.

Dustin nudged Kliff with his elbow and whispered in his ear.

"I got a bad feeling about this"

He glanced at Lisa and Alice then looked back at Kliff.

"Yeah those two carry bad vibes..." Kliff nodded then growled lowly.

"I'd rather not have you all ruin food for me" Lisa said plainly.

Jeff sighed, "At least give it a try" he begged.

"Tsk" Lisa said and rolled her eyes.

"I'm sorry but there wasn't much variety to choose from the supplies that were left down here" Grace said as she got up and began sharing out the food.

"I did my best with what was there but I hope you enjoy the food" she smiled.

"Hey, beats starvation" Leon chuckled.

"And besides you're really good at improvising, so I know you'll be able to work with what you have" Leon encouraged, giving Grace a thumbs up.

"Oh Leon, you and your flattery" Grace giggled, causing Leon to smile and scratch his head.

"But, thank you" Grace smiled and Leon nodded.

Everyone thanked Grace for the food and instantly began eating. They were all hungry from the stress of the day, and the aroma from the food made that hunger worse.

"Oh wow, this is amazing..." Kliff awed with a mouthful of food.

"Can I have seconds?!" Alice and Lisa shouted in unison, raising their bowls.

Everyone looked at them in shock, surprised by how quick the twins finished eating. Dustin was so surprised that he began choking on the food he was eating.

"Wow... that was... fast..." he coughed while Kliff patted his back.

Alice and Lisa giggled then looked at Grace with puppy eyes as if they were begging for more food. Grace looked at them, nodded and smiled.

"You girls can go ahead and get more" she giggled.

"I cooked a lot because I knew you all would be pretty hungry" she continued.

"Yay thanks so much!" the twins exclaimed together, instantly serving themselves more food.

"Are those the same people that absolutely hated people from other clans?" Kliff whispered to Dustin dumbfounded.

"I don't know dude... but if they weren't so scary... I'd say that was kinda cute..." Dustin breathed.

"Uh I think you choked too hard there buddy" Kliff chuckled and shook his head.
