new home new people

"So were are you going to go i cant bedriving all morning" said the cab driver. It was really late in the wee hours and i needed to get my son somewhere warm. "Take us to the womens shelter please" i decided there since it was right around the corner.

We arrived at the womens shelter and there was another car pulling up as well, there were 3 females and a little girl stacked in the honda with bags. 

I got mason and i out of the cab and went to the trunk to get our bags, the taxi driver offered to help me after he got his tip of course, and can you believe the muthafucka put our bags on the curve and wobbled his fat ass back to the car and drove off, i was already stressed so i didnt even worry i already knew how niggas could be.

"He was wrong for that girl, let me help you with your bags though" said one of the females that got out the car she looked tired but she was so nice i guess we all trying to cover up a pain of some sort. "Im sorry my name is Nicki"said the young looking girl. Im lacey i replied in kinda a hushed tone." who is this little man?" she asked referring to mason who was asleep on my hip. This is my son mason. " wow he's handsome"  thank you so much i said, as i  was looking around her to the females that were looking at me also. "thats kaylee and her daughter lexia and thats maliyah" i did a slight wave and from the looks on all of there faces we were all in the same boat. Nice to meet you all, wish it was under better circumstances.

I eased on inside the building praying there would be beds available, the woman at the front desk ws very nice and she promised me my son and i would be safe here, i only pray that she was correct.

Mason and i had a fairly nice room it has a full size bed a tv and a dresser the room even had i nice size closet and a bathroom inside, i was more than grateful. God really does answer prayers. I layed mason down and tucked him in so i could go and take a shower,=.

When i got in the shower he hot water that hit my body felt so good although it hurted when it touched my brusies, i cried my heart out in that shower because i was hurting so bad its easier to cry in the shower because hell when the water is hitting your face it all just mixes in.

Kaylee

As lexia which is my daughter and i was making our great escape i saw a honda creping upon us, i was in no shapeto fight not tonight i just wasnt feeling it. When the car finally came to a stop it was this girl named maliyah that worked at the club with me we never said 2 words to each other but hi and bye and it was nice of her to stop and get us.

While we were in the car she was telling me stories about her life as i shared mine and  in the midst we saw a girl running out of the foster home maliyah decided to pull upon the side of her and the girl hesitated to come with us until she seen the dudes runing after her.

We finally made ourway to the womens shelter and there was a female there getting out of the cab with a beautiful baby boy, she was beautiful as well but you could see her brusies.

My daughter and i checked in an they gave us this nice ass room , hell you may as well say it was bigger than my apartment. lexia went and got in the bed and instantly went to sleep. i got up and went and looked in the mirror something i havent did in awhile because having someone who constantly puts you down and makes you feel like your the scum of the fucking earth why look in the mirror, my beautiful green eyes were now dark i looked in the mirrior with my hooded eyes and wasnt pleased at all with what i saw.

I wasnt the same kaylee i planned to be at 8 years old that kaylee sure as hell wouldnt be proud of me, hell i dont blame her. I had parents who loved me but when drugs were introduced they left me,so i had to step up and start raising my damn self, looking for love in all of the wrong places because i needed that space filled again i ran up on daniel and he filled that space, untilhe started drinking and smoking, all that other shit that come along with it.

He was more than i could ask for but i guess he hid that act until he got in good with me, i wish that i wouldvesaw through that.

Its time for a change, i gotta get my shit together to make lexia and 8 year old kaylee proud.
