Chapter 1 New life

Jess's. P.O.V
I can't believe Simon and my mom just got married and I'm already being shoved onto a plane to London. I thought to myself as I packed for the move. After I was all packed up I began to slowly take down all my boxes to the car. After the first few boxs I began to hear faint talking and my name being spoken, of course I quickly went to investigate.

I followed the noise and ended up placed my ear on the door to my mother and Simons room. They were talking about how Simon had noticed I didn't fancy him very much. After I heard that I walked away thinking that I had completed my goal of Simon knowing I didn't like him. I wanted him to know that I wasn't just going to like him because I had to or he bought me anything I wanted. I was going to make him work for it.

Just as I walked down stairs I heard the door open and looked to see my mother and Simon walking towards me. I immediately felt attacked. When they got close enough to me my mother put a fake smile on her face and began to speak. "How about you and Simon go to lunch" she said. I presented to sneeze and rolled my eyes as I did knowing I didn't have a choice.

I gave my mother a scared look and waved as we drove away to a red robin in town. The entire ride was silent with a few awkward looks every few minutes. When we were half way there Simon spoke. "So how about this weather" he said with a smile on his face. Knowing I had to respond i said that's wish it was a little cooler consider it was 90 degrees in California. Of course he began telling me about how it's very cool in London and I would enjoy the weather. OH BUT I WOULDNT , I wanted to say but thank goodness we arrived and I quickly got out of the car and walked to door, not paying attention where Simon was. I asked for a table and was seated with Simon. The lunch was as awkward as the drive and all I could think about was getting home or soon to be no longer my home.
