Looking down at the small camera screen my mind freezes. Shoot. Shoot shoot shoot shoot shoot. In fear, I look up and see an unnoticeable figure walking towards me. An assassin. They would be unnoticeable if I didn't realize it was the same person from the picture I just took. Turning around I walk as quickly as I could out of the crowd and away from the scene. The figure followed me. I started to run, knowing I had to get away. The figure still followed me. Turning a corner and then another. More lefts and rights I went until I had no idea where I was. I was lost. And the figure was still behind me, quickly catching up. I had to do something now. Turning another corner, I found myself at a dead end. The figure was definitely behind me and was going to catch me soon. I needed to do something. Frantic, I searched the area. My mind became a blur. I couldn't remember anything, only that I needed to hide. The steps of the figure grew closer, I didn't have much time. My mind, in the frenzy of fear, started a countdown until the assassin arrived.

I turned my head left and right, trying to find a hiding place.

My eyes landed on something, trash bags, I think, and I started towards it.
3
I was out in the middle of the area, clear as day, and nowhere near the trash bags.

My feet are loud and my heart is racing, but I'm closer to the bags.

I'm right next to the bags now, so close to hiding. So close to--
Bang.
Author's Note:
I hope you enjoyed my first entry to Aim to Engage 2019. I think I did pretty well considering it had to be 500 words or less. (I ALWAYS go over some way or another. XD) It's only 280 words! I think that's pretty good. But anyway, until next time!
