It Might Be You

The world's most popular dating site "It Might Be You" recently experienced a software glitch and matched couples who were farthest apart on the socio-economic scale.

Matilda Duncan, a 47 year old, homeless African American woman from Compton, California was a 100% match with Perry Thomas, an 24 year old, white billionaire heir to the Thomas Cufflinks fortune. Perry resides in upstate New York and is the most highly ranked amateur lacrosse midfielder in the country.

Having never received a 100% match before, and planning on recording the whole thing as a potential viral Instagram story, Perry decided to dock his yacht in nearby Malibu and make the arduous one hour journey to Compton for a scheduled coffee meeting with Matilda.

Once Perry arrived he discovered Matilda's living conditions were too sad to make a joke video about, and too serious to film and then walk away without extending significant time and resources to help. He and his crew returned to his yacht in silence, drank heavily that night, and got into a fight before passing out.

Years later when Perry was running for public office the video of his date with Matilda would surface and his publicist would promptly issue an apology. Matilda was reached for comment, stating she barely remembered the encounter but he seemed like a nice young man. The story was forgotten as a school shooting occurred the next day. Matilda died that winter from the flu complications resulting from limited healthcare.
