Over the span of six months, society had fallen.

The dead had arisen and the cities are now ancient runes of a time where life was easy and simple. Old electrical items were rendered useless except for the rare lethal electric wire that was cut and exposed.

Like I said earlier the dead had risen, thousands are dead or now walking piles of meat, hollow shells of who they once were were now feral and cannibalistic creatures with no human emotion or intelligence for that matter. They were just dead bodies who could walk , groan and growl.

Well, except this one. In the vast city of what was Tokyo is a teenage boy.

His name is Rin from what he can remember.
Rin is a sixteen year old boy who as you could probably guess, is one of the thousands walking corpses that have in a short period of time have dominated the Earth.

Rin, is a special case however, for one Rin remembers his name and can make his body function a little more like a human. Instead of killing everything on sight, the zombie boy likes see what it does before deciding if he should kill it or not. Rin doesn't like dogs that much, most dogs try to rip him to shreds so he befriended a small cat named Kuro, who sleeps in a small apartment room on the second floor
Which it how far Rin can climb up with out tripping up.

Rin has a couple of interests too. He likes looking at the old manga books that he likes to pick up when outside looking for stuff for Kuro to eat. Unfortunately, He can't remember how to read but instead likes to look at the pictures instead, much similar to the tons of cool books that he also picks up.

Rin also likes looking at humans sometimes. He hides away for obvious reasons but he finds them funny sometimes. He gets confused when they need certain iteams but he doesn't question it. If zombies are nearby them he stops them too.

From this you can probably guess that Rin doesn't like eating people. However, in order to not turn into a walking skeleton rather than a dead corpse he has to. So he copies what the humans do. He found a rucksack and went off to get the stuff he needed for him and Kuro.

He would always get the tin with the creature that looked like Kuro on it with a some water for him, any manga or cook books to entertain himself with and then go look for a dead body that wasn't a zombie for him to collect the meat off from. He didn't like eating it, but in order to survive he did.

However like zombies who randomly attack humans, he learned that humans will randomly attack the dead. So He would try to make himself look like one of them. He always puts the hood of his hoodie up, and try to move like a human.

This has worked for along time now. He knows this has worked because a human interacted with him before. The human thought he had some speech problem from the lack of speech that he knew. Rin would just nod or shake his head when he was talking to him. After that he ended up getting two tins of soup, a couple bottles of water, medical stuff, a bag of dried meat and a blanket.

Rin took it was a gift and went back home. Giving the meat and some of the water to Kuro.
Since then he hadn't seen the man since.

Recently however, after going out on to find stuff for Kuro and himself he spotted another human. They looked hurt and it was getting dark and zombie hordes come through the area a lot at night. The human didn't have a weapon either. They already spotted him. They saw him and knew instantly what he was. Rin went over to them anyways. The human was defenceless and wasn't a threat so they wouldn't kill him.

He hand human supplies that he didn't need at home so he could give them those and they could stay with him until the hordes went away. So he went over, the nearer he go the more the human struggled. Eventually they stopped, possibly excepting the fate of death.

Rin sat next to them. Their leg has a cut on it and their arm was injured. So he sat there trying to think what the human might of needed.

" help?" Was all the zombie boy asked.

" what?" The stranger asked in a surprised tone, looking at him in pure shock that the dead corpse beside him could speak.

" help? Leg is leaking." Rin responded.
" I have things to stop it leaking." The dead body also added as the stranger continues to stare at him in shock.

Rin then looks at the sky, and to his horror it was sunset. He looks to the human who was sat up against the wall with crimson red fluid leaking out of their leg.

" got to leave, dark is bad! Come with me, I try help you." Rin said frantically. Trying to persuade the human to come with him. They wouldn't survive the night. The cold would freeze them if not the loss of blood and if not that the hordes would surely kill them.

The human simply nodded, Rin helped them up and helped them back to were he stayed. By the time they go there it was dark and to make sure it was safe for the human to stay safe Rin some how managed to figure out the little locks on the door before turning on the little battery powered light which he owned.

The human was safe for the night.

Ok so that the start of this story! I want to ask who the person should be in the story. I don't want it to be Yukio because I want Yukio to find him so yeah, I'll let you guys pick who Rin is helping.
