11. Christmas part 2

''So, we are stuck in the DEO for Christmas?'' Caitlin asked bored. ''Jup, we can't go anywhere as long as J'onn is gone'' Winn sighed. ''Can't we have any fun around here?'' Cisco asked. ''Can we not just leave this place. It's not like J'onn will follow us'' Caitlin said. ''I'm in'' Winn smiled and he had a plan. They left the room and sneaked out the DEO. ''Since you haven't seen much of National City, I'll guide you to the best spots. National City is the prettiest in winter'' Winn said as they walked through downtown. ''I am hungry'' Cisco said and the others agreed. ''I know a place'' Winn said as he walked to his favorite place. He entered the Alien Bar. ''We don't have one of those on Earth-1'' Cisco said as he looked around. He was very impressed. ''This looks awesome'' Caitlin smiled. ''They have the best fries here'' Winn said as he walked to the bar to order.

''Where are they?'' J'onn asked to multiple agents. Nobody knew. J'onn had checked the entire building but couldn't find them. He used his Martian Powers to find them and he could sense them. As he left the DEO and walked to the Alien Bar Lena bumped into him. ''I was looking for you'' she said. ''I don't have time, ms Luthor'' J'onn said as he passed her. ''I may have a way to find Alex'' she said after him. He stopped walking. ''We have changed our strategy, your help isn't required anymore'' he said without turning around. ''But I want to help to find Alex!'' she protested. ''We're not searching for Alex anymore, Supergirl is our priority. Without her, we won't be able to find Alex'' J'onn said as he walked away. He left Lena at the DEO.

''I knew you were here'' J'onn said angry, ''I told you to stay at the DEO.'' Cisco looked at Winn. ''We were... hungry'' Winn said and offered him some fries. ''No, I am good'' J'onn said. ''Have you got the right information?'' Caitlin asked curious. ''My father was able to help me'' J'onn said as he sat down. ''And?'' Cisco asked impatient. ''I know how to find Kara!'' J'onn smiled and ate some fries anyway.

Marley was on panic-mode. She ran back to the toilets, to Kara as the nurse followed her. She arrived several seconds later, because she didn't run as fast as Marley. ''What is wrong with her?'' Marley yelled. She paniced even more when she noticed the green on Kara's face. ''What the-'' the nurse didn't finish her sentence. She had never seen anything like this. ''Take her to your office!''Marley shouted and the nurse listened to her. Both the nurse and Marley helped her walk by grabbing her arms. They stumbled to the nurse's office. ''Lay down'' the nurse said calm. Marley didn't understand how she could be calm. ''What is going on?'' Marley yelled. ''You need to calm down or leave the room'' the nurse warned Marley. She couldn't calm down, so she left the room.

She didn't understand what was going on with Kara. ''Rebecca?'' she asked. But Kara couldn't breathe. She knew exacly what was going on with her! The slushie had Kryptonite in it. It felt even worse than at home. There was something different about this. ''I am fine'' Kara said weak. ''No you're not, look at yourself'' the nurse said with compassion. ''I-I just n....need to... rest'' Kara wispered. ''Have you had this before?"
Kara nodded. "Do you want me to stay here?'' she asked but Kara shook her head. She was going to be fine as soon as she got the slushie out of her eyes. The nurse left her alone.

Hours passed. The school was almost empty. Kara opened her eyes. She didn't know if she had been asleep or unconsious all that time. The kryptonite was still inside her veins and she still felt weak, but not as bad as she used to when she got hit. A few minutes later Marley entered the nurse's office, followed by Millie. ''How do you feel?'' Millie asked. Kara nodded as she said: ''Better.'' Marley sat down next to her bed. ''What happened?'' she had calmed down. ''It's a family disease and when they hit me with that cold, cold slushie, it just...'' Kara started and they both understood. Kara was glad she didn't have to finish because her lie had ran out. ''Are you ready to go home?'' Millie asked. Kara nodded. She stood up, which she was able to do, and walked to Millie's car. Kara was exhausted. She sat in front and they drove home. Christmas was ruined. 

Millie had no time to make a Christmas Dinner so they ordered pizza. ''It's not what I had hoped, but this is what we've got'' she sighed as she shared the pizza's. ''It's good enough'' Kara smiled, trying to make her feel better. It worked a little bit. They ate their pizza and watched some TV.

''I know this wasn't the Christmas we'd hoped, I'm sorry'' Kara said before she went to bed. ''You don't have to apologize. And besides, I had a good evening after all. I'm just glad you're okay'' Millie smiled and Kara walked upstairs.

''So?'' Winn asked and couldn't wait any longer. J'onn didn't respond. ''Come on, dude'' Winn said impatient. ''It's boss to you'' J'onn said. ''Where are we going?'' Cisco asked curious. ''Just follow me'' J'onn kept saying. He led them to a breach and they walked through. ''We are here'' J'onn said. ''This is Central City'' Cisco didn't understand. ''And we're underground'' Caitlin thought it was weird. ''This is a special place'' J'onn said and searched the walls. ''What are you looking for?'' Cisco asked. ''I'm searching for an enterance'' J'onn said focussed. He kept looking while Caitlin and Cisco waited. J'onn found something that didn't belong there. It looked like a button and he pressed it. There were loud sounds and J'onn stepped back, next to Caitlin and Cisco. ''What the hell is happening?'' Caitlin paniced. Then something showed itself in the wall. When it was safe, Cisco walked to it. He didn't touch it because he had no idea what could happen. J'onn stood next to him and reached his hand out. ''Don't. Touch it'' a familiar voice said behind them. J'onn pulled his hand back and turned around. Cisco did the same. ''Nash?'' he asked confused. ''It's not Nash anymore, it's Pariah'' he sighed. ''What?'' Cisco had no idea what he was talking about. ''I let the Anti-Monitor free and now I'm forced to work for him'' he said with regret in his voice. ''We need Supergirl back and my father told me that you could help us'' J'onn said. ''Kara Danvers, Supergirl'' Pariah smirked. ''How did you know that?'' Caitlin asked. ''I know everything'' he said, but didn't sound excited. ''Can you help us?'' J'onn asked. ''If the Monitor did something to her, I can't help you. I only know about the Anti-Monitor'' Pariah shook his head. ''So this was useless'' Cisco sighed. ''We'll find her'' J'onn said and tried to convince himself. ''Maybe we can get some information at STAR Labs'' J'onn sighed as Pariah had disappeared. ''We do know something about the Crisis that is coming. We have the news article and Barry has been studying it'' Caitlin said. They went to STAR Labs as fast as they could. They had no idea how long Alex had left.

''Barry?'' Cisco called out his name, but there was no response. They searched the entire building, but there was no sign of him. ''Maybe he is spending his Christmas at his apartment'' J'onn said. The others thought that would be normal, so they left STAR Labs and walked to his apartment. Iris was home. ''Hey, we're looking for Barry'' Cisco said after he greeted her. ''He's not home, probably at STAR Labs'' she said as she cleaned the kitchen. ''He's not there, we just came from there'' Caitlin sighed. ''Maybe he's at CCPD'' Iris guessed. ''We could go there'' J'onn shrugged his shoulders. 

''Joe!'' Caitlin sighed reliefed as she saw him. He was his step-dad and probably knew where he was. ''Caitlin!'' Joe smiled as he greeted her. Then he greeted the others. ''What's going on?'' Joe asked and wondered if he should be worried. ''We are looking for Barry'' Cisco sighed as he explained they couldn't find him. ''Well, I haven't seen him here, lately. The last time I saw him was two days ago. He came to my house and invited me for Christmas, but I said I needed to work'' Joe told them. ''Where the hell could he be'' J'onn wondered out loud.
