Separated

It was a lovely day and ash, pikachu, serena, togepi, clemont and bonnie were waking though a path in a rocky terrain, ash and pikachu were in front with serena and togepi, bonnie was in the middle being happy as ever and clemont was in the back trying to keep up
"it's such a nice day" serena says happily and togepi agrees
"it is...but you're nicer" ash says in a loving cheesy tone
"aww stop it you" serena says with a blush on her face all flattered
ash smiles then he hears a familiar voice
"stop right there twerps!" the voice says and the kids look ahead to see team rocket
"prepare for trouble, we are back again" jessie says starting the motto
"make it double, i'll say we are ten out of ten" james says carring on with the motto
"malamar!" a voice says from nowhere making team rocket stop the motto
"hey meowth, was that you?" jessie asks the cat pokemon
"no...why would i stop the motto?" meowth says shaking his head with a shrug
then all of a sudden a malamar appears and it was the same malamar that they met before that tried to take over the world
"hey! your that malamar" ash says recognizing it
'yes i have returned and now i will stop you from messing with my plans' malamar says which meowth translates
malamar then used superpower on the ground and it caused a hole to appear, team rocket fell in and ash pulls serena back but then a small rock hits serena's arm causing her to let go of togepi
"togepi!" all the kids shout and ash grabs her but he fell in the hole holding onto togepi tightly
"ash!" serena, bonnie and clemont says as well as a "pika pi!" from pikachu
they watch as ash disappears in the hole then they were left with the malamar
"luxaray, i choose you" clemont says releasing his luxaray
"delphox, i need you" serena says releasing her delphox
the 2 pokemon come out and they look at malamar ready to fight it
"luxaray, use thunderbolt" clemont demands
"pikachu, you too and delphox, you use flamethrower" serena says
the pokemon respond and they use their attracks, it hits the malamar and then it runs away quite injured
"we did it" bonnie says happy that the malamar is gone
"but we need to save ash and togepi" serena says
"pi!" 'yes!' pikachu says jumping up to serena
"but how? they fell in this hole and ash is the only one with flying pokemon" clemont says
"we'll find a way" serena says and she sighs to herself 'i hope he's ok...' she thinks and pikachu was thinking the same thing
meanwhile down in the hole and team rocket as well as ash and togepi seem to be ok, they blacked out when they hit the ground but since togepi was sheilded by ash she was ok, she gets up out of ash's arms and she looks around to see where they ended up, it seems to be a cave and it was very dark
"pr-pr..." 'papa...' togepi says shaking ash's face which makes him stir
"mmm...ugh...togepi?" ash says sitting up while he had a hand on his cap
"pr-pr!" 'papa!' togepi says happily and she hugs ash's hip
ash then picks up togepi and he nuzzles her happily
"i'm glad you're ok" ash says and togepi squeaks "now to see if we can get out of here" he says looking around "i hope serena is ok, she will be worried sick about us...she does have pikachu but she and pikachu will be worried" he says to himself and togepi who comforts him
ash smiles at togepi comfort then he realises it was too dark so he went into his bag and he grabs a flashlight, he then turns it on and he looks around to see if he can see an exit, he then finds funnily enough team rocket who had also blacked out from the fall but the light from ash's flashlight causes them to stir
"ugh...where...where are we?" jessie says as she sits up
"i don't know...but it looks like a cave" james says looking around
"hey...it's the twerp" meowth says pointing to ash
jessie and james look over at ash and ash just gives them a not bothered look
"where are your friends, twerp?" jessie teases and asks
"they are stuck back up there" ash replies shining his torch at the ceiling where a hole was "but i think they scared away the malamar" he added looking back the the 3 bad guys that have always followed him
he then grabbed a pokeball which was talonflame's and he realeased him
"talon!" 'what's up!' talonflame says upon coming out of the ball
"talonflame, can you fly up that hole and see if serena and the others are ok and tell them that me and togepi are ok too" ash says and talonflame responces by flying out of the hole
togepi meanwhile was looking at meowth, she recognises him from before when it was her, him and pikachu but she didn't recognise the other 2 people meowth was with, she guessed that they were meowth's friends
"so...now what?" meowth says confused
"i guess we try and find a exit" jessie says and they start to wonder off
ash sighs as he has no choice but to follow them and he starts walking behind them, meanwhile at the top of the hole and serena, pikachu, bonnie and clemont are thinking on what to do when talonflame appears from the hole
"oh that's ash's" serena says happily "i guess ash is ok" she says petting the bird
talon" 'sure is' talonflame says "talonflame" 'and togepi is too' he added
"oh good" serena says with a sigh hearing that togepi is ok too
"talonflame talonflame talon" 'ash told me to tell you that he's going to find a exit' talonflame says "talonflame" 'he landed in a cave'
"oh i see so we should go find a cave exit" bonnie says "come on then" she says and she goes off
"wait bonnie!" clemont says following her in worry leaving serena, pikachu with talonflame
"ok, tell ask we'll meet him at the exit" serena says and talonflame nods before diving into the hole
serena sighs in relief know that both ash and togepi are ok while pikachu is relieved that ash and togepi are ok but also that serena is ok, they then go to catch up with bonnie and clemont, back in the cave and ash and togepi with team rocket are looking for the exit with no luck yet
"ugh! where is this exit" jessie whined annoyed
"we'll find it, jessie, so keep it together" meowth says trying to calm her down
"yeah and then we can do the usual blasting off by the twerp's pikachu" james says sounding like he was use to what happens
ash just shakes his head knowing the usual stick of pikachu giving them a thunderbolt after trying to take pikachu and then they blast off into the sky only to return and do it again, ash didn't know what they wanted pikachu so badly but they were persistent on getting him and ash also remember times when they helped him in their own way like when they helped him defeat cassidy and butch to get pikachu back and when they helped defeat the malamar trio from taking over the world
"hey twerp!" jessie says getting ash out of thought
"what?" ash replies curious on what the female team rocket member wanted
"how did you fall in?" jessie says "i don't remember the malamar pushed you in or anything"
"togepi fell out of serena's arms from a rock hitting her arm and she fell in the hole so i jumped to save her" ash says pointing to togepi
"i see well...whatever" jessie says with a shrug then they keep walking
then a noise was heard and ash recognises it as talonflame's cry, he turns around and the bird pokemon lands in front of him
"talonflame talon" 'serena says her and the other will wait for you at the exit' talonflame says
"oh good" ash says happily
"toge to-to!" 'yay mama!' togepi says happily knowing she'll see her mother again
"ok talonflame, return" ash says making talonflame return to his pokeball
ash and team rocket then keep going down the cave and ash was suprised that team rocket stayed there, they would usual go off without him or something, they walked for a while till jessie started whining again to take a break and they ended up doing so in a hole of the cave, ash sits down on one side while team rocket were on the other and ash was looking in his bag for his water bottle when togepi pulled his sleeve
"pr-pr?" 'papa?' togepi says getting ash's attention
"yes?" ash says looking at togepi with the corner of his eye
"toge togepree?" 'make friends?' togepi says pointing to team rocket
ash then look at team rocket who were minding their own business then back at togepi, he then realises that togepi wanted to befriend them
"you can try" ash says with a shrug and togepi get happy
"pree~" 'yay~' togepi says happily and she goes over to meowth
meowth sees her coming over and he was somewhat happy
"toge!" hello!" togepi says happily
"hi togepi, what's up?" meowth asks
"togepree toge" 'who are they?' togepi asks pointing to jessie and james
"oh...these two are my friends and work friends" meowth says which gained jessie and james' attention "this one is jessie, she's the leader and she's a bit stubborn and bossy but she's very cheerful" he explains while pointing to jessie
"too" 'ooo' togepi ooed looking at jessie
"hello togepi, aren't you a cute little baby" jessie says happily giving her affection by petting her head
togepi smiles and squeaked at the affection and ash who was keeping an eye on her but looking busy so team rocket didn't feel pressured also smiles
"ok jessie" meowth says with a smile "i think that's too much"
"it's not but whatever" jessie says and she goes back to what she was doing which was being a lookout
"and then this one is james" meowth says pointing to james who was looking at meowth and togepi "he's the expert dispite him being a bit dopey" he says and james looked annoyed
"i'm not dopey" james says and meowth laughs
togepi didn't really know what the word dopey meant but it sounded silly to her so she giggles, james then pets togepi on the head like what jessie did and she loved it making her squeak
"and you know me, i'm meowth the talking cat pokemon who loves to sleep, eat and be me" meowth says after james takes his hand away from togepi
"togepree toge" 'what do you do?' togepi asks curiously
"we uhh...we...keep an eye on the twerp so uhh...he doesn't mess up or anything" meowth says trying to hide the truth from togepi
"togepree~" 'that's nice~' togepi says happily "togepi to?" 'but who's twerp?'
"oh! sorry i mean him" meowth says pointing to ash who looked up to see what's up
"pr-pr?" 'papa?' togepi says confused looking at ash then at meowth again
"yes" meowth says with a nod
"togepree toge to?" 'what does twerp mean?' togepi asks
"it means...umm...i don't know" meowth says not sure
"toge togepree toge togepree toge?" 'will auntie jessie and uncle james know?' togepi asks and then meowth just laughs
ash heard it too and he just smiles on how cute togepi was being while jessie and james looked at meowth confused while think he was a mad cat
"what happened, meowth?" james asked confused
"oh...that...was cute" meowth says in between laughing "togepi...you are...adorable" he says still laughing
"why are you laughing for?" jessie says getting annoyed
"she...ok...she asked me what a twerp was and i replied i don't know" meowth says "then she said 'will auntie jessie and uncle james know' and then i laughed" he says and he chuckles
jessie and james looked at each other then at togepi with a blush on their face then they felt all warm and fuzzy from think the name over, then all of a sudden a rumble was felt and it causes all of them to stand up
"what was that?!" jessie asks confused
then a drillbur came out from the wall and it didn't look happy
"togepi...come here" ash says in a slow worried tone to the baby pokemon and she goes over to him
the drillbur then does a noise and then a bunch of drillbur and excadrill appear also not looking happy
"drillbur!" 'get them!' the drillbur says and they start to attack
ash with togepi in his arms, jessie, james and meowth run for their lives as fast as they could while the mob of drillbur and excadrill followed them, back with serena and they finally managed to find the cave entrance
"here is it" bonnie says to clemont and serena
"here goes...hey ash!" serena shouts in the cave "ash! where are you!" she still shouts
back with ash and team rocket and ash can hear serena
"serena?" ash says hearing her voice
"to-to!" 'mama!' togepi says in ash's arms
"we're almost there" ash says to jessie, james and meowth
they look at ash then ahead where they saw a light
"he's right, keep at it" meowth says and they ran a little faster
they then made it out of the tunnel and serena pulls ash out of the way of the drillbur and excadrill charge and jessie, james and meowth also managed to douge out of the way, the drillbur and excadrill mob then run passed and they disappear down the hill the cave was on
"oh ash~" serena says pulling ash into a hug after he puts togepi down "i missed you so much" she says rubbing her cheek agents him
"i missed you too" ash replies hugging back
"to-to!" 'mama!' togepi says happily
"pika pi!" 'ash!' pikachu says also happily
serena then picks up togepi and hugs her while ash rubs pikachu's head when he goes on his shoulder
"togepree toge toge" 'i have a story to tell you' togepi says happily after the hug
"do you?" serena says wanting to know this story
"she does and...it's interesting" ash whispers to serena
"now i'm more interested" serena says and togepi giggles
ash then looks at team rocket to check if they were ok but they disappeared
"they walked away while you two were giving pikachu and togepi attention" clemont says
"i tried to stop them but they really wanted to go" bonnie says with a shrug
"leave them" ash says "now come on, let's see where we are"
"i think the town is over there" serena says pointing away from the cave
"well come on then let's go" ash says happily
they go off to the next town and to serena's next contest where hopefully she can will her next performance key
