Dark Night

Kalyani, Kalyani... Malhar calls out to her in search of her, coming home from work in his uniform. She is nowhere to be found, like always. Malhar could not get a grip of himself. He just knew where she could be. Trouble invited her again. He runs through the streets of Mumbai in a search for her, asks people around, showing her picture, if they have seen her around. He couldn't stop the tears from coming. He breaks down like never before. When he goes out to search for him, he makes sure to come home with her, but this time life takes a turn. He walks back home all broken, and hopeless. Life was never fair to him.

THE NEXT DAY
There was no news about her. He had not eaten anything since yesterday. He still went on duty, fulfilling his duties towards work. He asks his secretaries Pawar and Rao, who were friends with his wife, to dig out information of her whereabouts.

AFTER A FEW DAYS
They work day and night, and haven't slept for days. Malhar was shattered. He still had hope in god that god will make her return to him. He decides to go to a temple, all broken, he complains god why he has to go through all this. He cries out all his pain to god. He has already got his child taken away, and now his wife has to go through all of this. He has always let his belief towards god stand firm and never let it go down at all. He always believed in one thing, god could never do anything wrong to good people. All he has ever thought, throughout his life, god is probably testing me on how loyal and devoted I am to him. He never complained god, nor he broke down like this. First time, he has complains after not finding his wife in a day. He worshipped him, leaving no stone unturned. When he makes his way out of the temple, he suddenly sees one of Kalyani's pairs of earrings on the ground. He could not believe his eyes, so he picked it up to look closer. It was her earring. The earring gave a new ray of hope to him of her returning. His eyes suddenly go on her ring on the right pathway. He decides to follow the right route, as he might find some more clues ahead. But guess what, clues stop at the ring. He breaks down. He holds on his grip when he suddenly hears Kalyani screaming out his name several times. He gets up and chases the voice down, what could he only find is a sound recorder of her saying his name over and over again. The trust he has over god didn't shake at all, but broke him down everytime he thinks he has got close to finding her, but it always comes out untrue. Out far ahead he sees a person coming down, there were cars passing by and the headlights of the cars were too bright, flashing over his eyes, thus he couldn't see the face of the person. He further comes close, and the bright light starts to go away.
