Alice Waldorf's POV
I was at my house fixing my hair and getting ready for the party my mother was throwing, it was the first one since my parents 'separated', because my dad ran off with some British Model. Then as usual my phone rang with a Gossip Girl alert, but this one I had to read twice...Hey Upper East Siders Gossip Girl here, your one and only source into the scandalous lives of Manhattan's elite. And I have the biggest news ever. One of my many sources--melanie91-- sends us this: 'spotted at grand central station bags in hand, Serena Van Der Woodsen', was it only a year ago?Our 'it' girl disappeared for "boarding school"? and just as suddenly she's back. Don't believe me? See for yourselves. Lucky for us, melanie91 sent proof. Thanks for the photo Mel.
Immediately I texted Blair, finally her ex-best friend had returned, but Nate's always had a thing for Serena. Blair ran downstairs I could hear her heels clicking against our mahogany floors. I went downstairs following her, when I ran into our mother; Eleanor Waldorf.
"Blair, if you're gonna wear one of my designs, tell me first so we can at least get it properly fitted." My mother paused and looked me up and down, "like Alice, her dress fits perfectly," I had always been one size smaller than Blair, and on the upper east side, that meant I wasn't Blair's sister, I was her competition.
"Thanks Mom. I'll keep that in mind. Great party." Blair said snobbly yet respectively, something everyone in our world was good at. I saw Nate and his family from the corner of my eye and walked over to them, they were talking about colleges. I just stood there quietly, yet pleasantly. Nate was my best friend, but everyone said we looked so alike we could be related(and acted like it). Our ocean blue eyes, our dirty blonde hair, the way we talk, even our facial structure. Blair walked up to Nate, "Nate, can I borrow you?"
"Uh, sure. Will you excuse me for a second" he said to the his father and the other men, "I'll come find you later Alice, Chuck's in the next room" Nate said to me.
"Okay, thanks." Chuck Bass was my boyfriend. I watched Blair take Nate up the stairs, they'd be up there for a while. Then I told the girls Chuck was with to scram, so they did
"Hello" Chuck said, with a sexual smile
"Hi" I looked at him ",did you see the Gossip Girl alert?" I said waving my phone in front of his face
"No, let me see" he took my phone from me, when he finished reading he said "I'm glad, things were starting to get dull around here," just as he said that I heard my mother say;
"Serena Van Der Woodsen, is that you?" My mother said. I jumped up an ran to give Serena a hug,
"At last the blonde bitches of the upper east side are back together!" Chuck said, we both ignored him
"What's new" asked Serena
"Nothing really, except for the fact that Chuck and I are dating, but whatever" I said
"Wow" said Serena, she never liked Chuck and I didn't need her to tell me that
"Never mind that, where have you been?" I asked. Serena started telling me about boarding school but then she saw her mother; Lily Van Der Woodsen. She walked over to them and Chuck and I started talking, when Nate basically ran down the stairs and saw Serena, Chuck and I followed. This was gonna be good! Then Blair and Serena started talking and we walked even faster, we didn't hear much of the conversation and shortly after Serena left. I followed Blair to Isabel and Kati and Chuck went to Nate
"Well, I guess she's back at school" Blair said
"Didn't you know she was coming" Kati said
"Of course I did, I just... wanted it to be a surprise." Blair reclaimed
"Bull" I said
"Shut up Alice" Blair snappedI woke up the next morning, and I had a text from Nate, 'hey I need to talk to you now, meet up before school?' I put on my uniform, did my make up and put my hair into a ponytail. Then replied 'ya sure'
I walked over to the coffee shop right in front of the bus stop that went by St. Jude's/Constance (you see St. Jude's was a school for boys and Constance's was a school for girls, but the board refused to call them the same school even thought they were attacked) and Nate was in there
"Alice, I have to tell you something. I've been keeping this secret for a long time and I need to tell someone"
"Okay, wh.." Chuck walked and interrupted, "later?" I said
"Ya sure" Nate said all depressed like. We all walked outside and waited for the bus, when it got there we boarded and the we were on our way to school.
"Serena looked effing hot last night," Chuck said, I had to sit on his lap because of limited seating, I looked at Nate and rolled my eyes ", there's something wrong with that level of perfection," he continued
"Thanks babe" I said sarcastically to Chuck
"You know I love you, Alice." Chuck said, then continued "it needs to be violated"
"You are deeply disturbed." said Nate
"Thank you" I added in response to Nate, he was right Chuck had the dirtiest mind on the upper east side
"And yet, you know I'm right. Why do you think I've continued to violate Alice," Chuck paused and focused on Nate again. "you're telling me if you had the chance..."
"I have a girlfriend" Nate said cutting him off
"You guys have been dating since kindergarten, and you haven't sealed the deal." Chuck said
"who says 'seal the deal'" Nate mocked
"Come on" Chuck pointed, it was our stop. I noticed this one kid had been eavesdropping on our conversation and he was about to get off at our stop, "Chuck, babe? I think someone is following us?" Chuck looked back and saw the guy I was talking about
"If he tries to get off I will tell him off, okay babe? It's okay" Chuck grabbed my hand and lead me to Nate protectively. Since what happened while Serena was gone they were on protective overdrive. Nate heard the conversation and grabbed my hand after Chuck let go, and when the kid when to get off at the same stop Chuck got defensive, "are you following us or something, cause your making my girlfriend uncomfortable"
"No, I-I go to your school. Identical uniforms? Isn't that kind of a tip-off?" The kid said, as we got of the bus he said something else but I couldn't make it out. My phone buzzed as Nate and Chuck walked me to class and it was of course Gossip Girl
Spotted on the met steps and S. and B. power struggle. Did S. think she could waltz home and things would be just like they were? Did B. think S. would go down without a fight? Or can these two hotties work it out? There's nothing Gossip Girl likes more than a good catfight, and this one could be a classic.
