Jay’s POV
I wake up the next morning to find myself lying on the floor naked. That’s one of the worst things about having this happen to me, I always wake up naked. Even if I keep my clothes on for the transformation, they rip and fall off anyway. I roll over to get up and then I notice a body next to me.
“Shit! I killed someone!” I mutter in panic. It’s a teenage girl. What have I done? I’m a murderer! I sit up and put my head in my hands, as my eyes begin to well up. I know it wasn’t my fault, but I can’t help but feel guilty. I shouldn’t transform here if people are going to be around. I need to find another spot to transform, where people will be safe.
“Jay?” I hear a familiar voice call. Shit. What am I going to do? I’m sitting in the middle of the woods, naked with a dead body next to me. This isn’t looking good.
“What the hell is going on?” Tom asks me as he stands in front of me, in both shock and disgust.
“Nothing” I say, as I get up. I cover my privet parts with my hands as I look around for my clothes.
“Nothing? You’re naked with a dead body” Tom says, confused.
“Listen. It’s not what it looks like” I tell him, as I pick up the pile of my clothes and I throw them on, before walking back to Tom and the body.
“Really? Because it looks to me like you’ve killed someone, whilst you were naked” Tom says, raising an eyebrow.
“I didn’t. It wasn’t me. It was a wolf” I tell him and to be honest, I wasn’t lying. It was a wolf, but it was me as a wolf. Tom then crouches down next to the body, to examine her.
“Jay? Are you a vampire?” he asks me, looking serious.
“What? No. Why?” I laugh, awkwardly.
“Because this girl has vampire marks on her neck” Tom says.
“So, that could be anything Tom and I didn’t know you believed in stuff like that” I tell him. I know I never believed in vampires and stuff before I became a werewolf.
“Well I didn’t, but things change” he says looking down at the floor.
“Like what?” I ask him, confused.
“I’d tell you, but then I’d have to kill you” he says with a grin.
“Fair enough. So what are we going to do with the girl?” I ask him and he just looks around for a second.
“Nothing. We didn’t see anything, did we? Someone will find her and there will be an investigation. But no one knows that we were here, so they can’t trace it back to us can they?” Tom asks.
“Alright then” I say, awkwardly. There’s something different about him. My senses are always powerful around a full moon and right now I can smell everything and Tom smells different.
“What’s up?” he asks me, noticing me staring at him.
“Nothing” I lie and as he turns around, I notice two little marks on his neck. Like vampire bites. Shit! He’s one of them isn’t he? I knew something was different the moment I saw him. He’s paler than normal, he now believes in vampires, he smells different and he’s been acting weird. There is no other solution. What am I supposed to do now? As soon as he finds out what I am, he will want to kill me, like the rest of those vicious monsters. They hate us werewolves and I don’t even know why. I just know that one of the reasons why we hate them is because of the dog fights, which thankfully I haven’t been used for and I hope I never am. I’ve heard stories about them, but I’ve never seen any. I just know that if the vampires find me, they will want to kill me. I just can’t let them know what I am and I can’t let them know that I know what they are, because I’ve heard that vampires have killed their own family just because they found out what they are, so I’m not going to take any risks.
As I finally reach my car, I get inside and Tom gets in too.
Siva’s POV
I sit in my house with both Max and Kass sitting either side of me.
“I’m sorry ok?” Max says to Kass once more.
“Sorry isn’t enough, you murderer” Kass says, bitterly.
“Listen, can we just leave this now. It’s a tough world out there, but we all have to live in it. We do whatever it takes for us to survive and in our case, its killing people. It’s harsh, but we can’t save everyone, or sooner or later the human’s will find out about us and that’s the worst thing that can happen for us. You will understand why Max killed your friend when you’re craving for blood, now stop arguing. We’re all stuck like this now and as long as you’re both friends with me, then you need to get along” I tell them, and with that they both nod.
“Fine” Kass says.
“Good. Now we need to sort out what’s going to happen now. I mean we can’t keep killing random girls like we did earlier. There needs to be a method to this and with as little lives lost as possible” I tell them.
“How?” Max says, confused.
“I don’t know yet, but I don’t know about you, but I really don’t want to kill anyone” I tell them both.
“Me neither. I’m not a murderer, like him” Kass says, giving Max a bitter look.
“Maybe we should go to one of the vampire meetings. My mentor was telling me, that they have them quite often. I’ll ring her” Max tells us, as he gets up to call her.
