Summer Love

Pre-Eroda

"Emergency meeting. Red, White & Brew. 5 minutes."  Liv sends to the group chat of her three best friends, locking her phone before taking the short walk to the local coffee shop. When she arrived she immediately spotted Shannon in the corner, already surrounded by four coffees. Shannon looks up from her phone and waves Liv over, saying a small greeting before they sit and wait for the other two to arrive. Lexi walks in moments later, going to their usual table and sitting by the girls.
"I'm Here!" Taylor rushes to the table, out of breath. "Sorry I ran two blocks, well it was more like in walked a block then felt bad, so I ran the last one." She sits down. "So why are we here? Oh thanks Shannon, this is my fave." She says, taking a sip of her drink.
"Because of this." Liv says, setting her phone down face up on the table, displaying a picture of what appears to be a very happy, newly engaged couple. "Zayn's engaged." Liv points out, clearly upset. "It's bad enough I have to see them everywhere in person, but now they're getting married and I just look like the sad ex."
Lexi scrunches her nose "I think he's here." she points at a trash can and lets out a chuckle that silences when no one else laughs. "Sorry..." she takes a sip of her coffee.
"You need a vacation, a proper getaway from here." Shannon states already pulling up flights on her phone. "We'll do a girls' trip, somewhere far away. Look there's a flight leaving at midnight to some island called Eroda. It's perfect." Shannon shows Liv her phone and they all agree. "Booking it now, better go home and pack, we have an eight-hour flight ahead of us." Shannon smiles and they all agree to meet at Liv's apartment at 8 pm and leave the coffee shop to pack and get ready for the last-minute trip of their lifetime. Once they're all packed and at Liv's apartment waiting to leave, they begin to talk about the trip.
"What do you guys think Eroda will be like?" Lexi asks.
"I don't know but I think it will be the PERFECT getaway for us all" Shannon states excitedly.
" I hope there will be a cute boy there! Just Imagine! The perfect summer love.." Taylor dreamily says aloud.
"Whatever, as long as we are far away from you-know-who" Liv comes into the room with her suitcase.
"VOLDEMORT???" Lexi says and everyone groans.
Taylor gets a text that the Uber is here and they climb in, off to the airport to catch their flight
