My name is Ava Curtis. I'm a head detective of Blood City Police Department and was invited to be a consultant for a missing persons case in Dark City. Apparently, one of the head detectives in Dark City Police Department was reported missing two weeks ago and no one can find any trace as to where he went. On top of that, the detective's brother suddenly disappeared some time before the the detective's disappearance. I honestly didn't mind coming to Dark City since it's not my first time being here for a case.

A couple years ago, I was invited to be a consultant for a murder case. A set of twins' parents were brutally murdered the night after the twins graduated from high school. When the murder happened, one of the twins, Sid, was at a friend's house while his brother, Red, stayed at home with their parents. During the investigation, I discovered that Red was usually not willing to talk to people and prefers staying at home while Sid was one of DCPD's youngest detectives and, in all honesty, he showed promise. It actually surprised me that the twins handled their parents' sudden deaths so well. However, the trail went cold and the case was put aside along with several missing person cases a week or so later. After hearing some stories from a few of the head detectives at DCPD, it didn't surprise me.

You see, while Dark City is a beautiful place to visit, it is constantly filled with murder and missing people. There is not a single day that there is a murder happening or a person going missing. I guess that is what happens when a city is mainly ruled by the rich.

To tell the truth, after that murder case, I was hoping to be invited for another case in Dark City and, after two years, the opportunity finally came. The missing people in question are Sid Evans, Red, and several other people. I'm not surprised that Sid is now a head detective. However, I am surprised that he suddenly went missing without a trace.

Today, the heads of DCPD allowed me to investigate Sid's desk for any clues they may have overlooked. While most of the papers on and in his desk were report documents, I did find two letters in one of the drawers under a few documents. One letter was from a girl named Dawn Walker and the other one was from Sid himself. From briefly scanning the letter, it seems Sid went to a mansion that was in the middle of Dark Forest. After asking a few detectives about the place, they confirmed that the mansion does exist. So tomorrow, me and a few head detectives from DCPD will begin the walk to the mansion. Here's to hoping that there is at least another clue to Sid's disappearance.
