Chapter 8:

Chapter 8: Family Drama

Jake's POV

I wake up and see that Luna wasn't in the room. I heard some chatter from outside the door. I get up and quietly walk over to the door. I notice my mom's voice and I instantly open the door. They both jumped and just kinda looked at me.

I say "What is going on?"

My mom sighs and walks off without saying anything. Luna pushes me out of the way and walks in the room. I shut the door and turn to look at her.

She says "I had no idea she was coming here. And I had no idea she knew where we were, so don't look at me like that."

I roll my eyes and say "What the hell did she want Luna?!"

Luna stays quiet and hesitates to say anything.

Luna's POV

Jake seemed angry that I wouldn't tell him. I just didn't have the heart to tell him what his mom told me.

"Damnit Luna! Just tell me what she said!"

My eyes widen and I say "I promise you that you do not want to know what she said."

He yells "I don't give a damn! Tell me what she said!"

A tear rolls down my face and say "Your dad got drunk last night and started hitting her. She said that you need to stay with me until things blow over."

His face goes blank and he starts crying. He falls back onto the bed and was crying out of sadness and anger.

"Jake...... I told you that you wouldn't want to know what she said."

He snaps his head up and says " This is the last straw. I'm gonna kill him."

He stands up and I push him back onto the bed. He breathes really heavily and looks at me.

I grab his face to make sure he's looking at me and I say "Baby. You can't kill him. Think about it, if you kill him, then you kill our future together."

He starts to calm down a little after I said that. He wraps his arms around me as I stood in front of him. His head was against my chest and I was running my fingers through his hair.

He looks up at me with a really caring look. I grab his face and kiss the tip of his nose. He pulls me closer to him and starts to kiss me. I kiss him back and it seemed like nothing else in the world mattered more than him. I was deeply into the kiss and then my phone started ringing. I pull back for air and grab my phone to see it was my dad. I look at Jake and he was making a sad face. I mute my ringer and ignore the call.

Jake pulls me on his lap and starts to kiss my neck. I pinch his side and he yelps, almost dropping me.

I say "We have to get to your house to get some clothes before your dad gets home from work."

He takes a deep breath and says "I know Moon......."

I get up and grab my phone and my charger to put it in my pocket. Jake just sits there staring at the floor. I sigh and grab his arm, making him get up off the bed.
