THIS IS WAR | INFINITY WAR
Chapter Three
⚡️WITH BRUCE'S PERSUASION, TONY WILLINGLY followed the sorcerer's request and willingly listened to what they had to say in reference to the sake of the universe. But, he wasn't expecting to have a teenager explain what was coming and the very objects that would supposedly play and large role the complete annihilation of the galaxy.
"At the start of the universe, there was nothing, then boom, the big bang created the galaxy we know today, additionally creating six individual artefacts that control a natural element to life itself," Elizabeth decided to begin as the illusion above her slowly swirled and demonstrated her explanation. She slowly paced back and fourth with her hands behind her back and forcing her torturous memories of the past to the back of her mind temporarily. "They're older then everything in this galaxy, the power of them combined being enough to create what we all know today."
Forcefully, Elizabeth halted her pacing as she met Tony's stare, noticing how he watched her with a slither of disbelief whilst recounting every word in the speedster's explanation. Elizabeth knew it had to do with her age.
Breathing out slowly, she nodded up to the stones that circled above, lifted her right hand and picking them out individually and placing them in a line. "Space, Reality, Power, Soul, Mind and..." she trailed off as she took the Time Stone between her fingers, gulping nervously and flicking it to the side, watching the Eye of Agamotto reveal that very Infinity Stone.
Tony frowned deeply, glancing at Bruce. "Tell me his name again."
Despite who the question was targeted at, the speedster spoke up, interrupting the scientist who went to reply. "His name is Thanos, and he's one of the most dangerous things in this entire galaxy," she emphasised, her voice cracking slightly. She closed her eyes, a cold shiver dancing down her spine. "He takes what he wants, invades planets and doesn't believe in being merciful. And that's without the Infinity Stones."
"He destroyed Zelea and sent Loki!" Bruce interrupted, pushing past the teenager and ignoring the burning glare he received. "The attack on New York. That's him!"
Visibly, Tony stiffened at the mention of the God of Mischief. "This is it..." he murmured to himself, standing and approaching his old friend. He glanced at Bruce. "What's our timeline?"
"There is no telling," Elizabeth answered for the scientist again, looking down to avoid Tony's stare. Speaking of the Infinity Stones as well as Thanos was really making Elizabeth think about her earth, something she had tried not to in the last year. It caused that familiar sense of guilt to flood her. "Your friend says he's already got two of the stones, Power and Space... If he gets all of these stones, he will be unstoppable and even now he will be extremely difficult to defeat." Elizabeth inhaled sharply, forcing herself to look at up a vigorously blinking to remove the coat of tears resting over her irises.
She noticed Tony leaning on the Cauldron of Cosmos, stretching his leg as he tried to mentally make a plan. Stephen watched, kind of annoyed at his actions, but further emphasised the teenager's point. "He could destroy life on a scale of hitherto on dreamt of." He glanced at Elizabeth, frowing at the sight of sorrow upon her expression.
"Did you seriously just say hitherto on dreamt of?" Tony muttered, glancing back at the sorcerer and meeting the cold glare.
"Are you seriously leaning on the Cauldron of the Cosmos?" Stephen shot back, tilting his head at Tony.
"Is that what it's called-" the Cloak slapped his hand away from the artefact, making Tony flinch back. He looked between the sorcerer and his scarlet coloured cloak, point at back. "I'm... going to allow that." The Cloak's unpredictable actions caused a stiffled laugh to slip through Elizabeth lips, only stopping when said Cloak slapped her arm and dragged her attention to the odd stare Tony gave. "If Thanos needs all six, why not stick this one down the garbage disposal?" He pointed to the Time Stone.
