The Accident

"Kacchan! Where do you wanna go today?" Katsuki smiled at Izuku. He had planned something special to do today because it was her birthday! "Well, since it's your birthday, I was thinking on hiking to a cliff and just hang out there with the pretty view! I know you love nature, so I think you will love this!" Izuku's eyes brightened up more than ever before. She gave him the biggest smile he has ever seen.  Izuku then got really excited and hugged Katsuki really tight. "Thank you Kacchan!! Now let's go!" Katsuki led the way. At least it wasn't that far away from their homes. It only really took twenty minutes to get there. When they reached the top of the cliff, Izuku was amazed. There was a beautiful waterfall leading down to the river with a rainbow in the water. There were beautiful trees everywhere. And the sky was clear of clouds. Izuku took it all in. On the trees she saw some beautiful birds, and there were butterflies everywhere. On the ground, was grass, and squirrels running around looking for food. Izuku had some nuts in her pocket. She took it out, put some in her hand and walked a few steps where one of the squirrels were nearby. She went on her knees and waited until a squirrel walked up to Izuku cautiously. It finally walked on her hand and started eating the nuts. Katsuki was amazed. He never thought that Izuku could do that. It's like she connected with the nature around her. When the squirrel was done eating, it climbed up Izuku's arm and onto her shoulder. She turned around looking out at the river. She closed her eyes and breathed in the fresh air. She could smell that there was nothing that disturbed this area aside from the animals. She felt the wind go through her hair satisfying her. Katsuki of course got a little worried because she wasn't really moving, and shook her a little causing her to snap her eyes open. She looked at Katsuki. "Kacchan...what was that for?" "Oh, ummm...I just got a little worried because you weren't moving. That's all." Katsuki brought his hand behind his neck a little embarrassed. "Kacchan you're silly. I'm just enjoying myself with the nature." "Oh...oops." Katsuki let out a nervous laugh. Izuku put her hand out in front of the squirrel so she can put it down. She petted it as she put it down smiling.

Then, Izuku went closer to the edge to look at the view more, since this is a special moment. But then she tripped on a rock and fell down off the cliff. "KACCHAN!!!" "IZUKU!" Katsuki stared down as her face started to bleed from a Rock piercing both of her eyes. Then she fell in the river unconscious. Katsuki's first instinct was to jump into the river and save her. He immediately ran and dived into the river searching for her. She wasn't on the surface, so she had to be underwater sinking. He dived underwater, to see Izuku slowly sinking her mouth open letting water inside. He swam to her as fast as he could, and brought her up to the surface. She wasn't breathing. I needed to do CPR...and quick. He didn't see any land he can climb onto. He gripped her and swam searching. He searched for five minutes finally seeing some land he can climb up on. He used all his strength to put her on land, and then climbed up himself. He brought her a little ways away from the water in the sun. Katsuki started to perform CPR on her. It didn't work. He realized the only way was to put air in her mouth..and that meant...kissing her...tears rolled down his face as he pinched her nose and blew. He blew over and over, until a few minutes later, she started coughing up water. "Izuku! Are you okay!?" "K... Kacchan..? Where are you?" Katsuki was confused. "Izuku, I'm right here." He hugged her. "K-Kacchan...I...I can't see..." I looked in her eyes. They were open...but the beautiful green emerald eyes were replaced with a pair of white and glossy eyes instead..."Izuku...you can't see be-because... you're....blind now..." Izuku's eyes widened. And tears started to stream down her face. "Izuku... don't worry...I'm taking you to the hospital." Katsuki picked her up bridal style and rans as fast as he could finding a way to the hospital. On his way there he felt Izuku's head lean against his shoulder. "Kacchan... you're warm..." And she went unconscious again. He smiled knowing that she was okay and was in his arms. Half an hour later, he finally made it to the hospital. He rushed inside and directly brought her to the emergency room. Nurses saw her and immediately led him to a room where he put her down on the bed. One of the nurses asked what had happened. So Katsuki explained everything that happened. (Somehow they are only four and all this happened.) The Nurse was shocked that Katsuki, a four year old was able to do all that. "Wow. We will do anything we can to help her. We don't know how long she will be out. That all depends on her. Now, can you tell me hers and your parents? Katsuki nodded. "Mitsuki Bakugou, and Inko Midoriya." "Thank you. You can stay here and wait for your mom, or you can go into the waiting room." Katsuki decided to stay in the room with Izuku until his mom came with Izuku's mom.

Katsuki p.o.v

I can't believe this happened to Izuku... And it's all my fault...all I wanted was to give her a good birthday....and...it all went wrong...because if me...and taking her to that stupid cliff...but...she loved it...

I walked up to Izuku and cried over her unconscious body. Suddenly...she...spoke...

"Kat...Katsuki.....I.....I'm scared...." I knew she probably couldn't hear me, but answered back....and...she used my name... "Don't worry... Izuku...I'm here...I promise...I promise I will protect you and always be by your side..."

Ten minutes later, I sat in a chair  looking at her scared expression when my mom and Izuku's mom came in the room. My mom came up to me and hugged me. "Katsuki...thank you for saving her. I don't know how Inko would take it if she died...I also think of her as a daughter to me. So thank you Katsuki.." Izuku's mom rushed over to Izuku. When she saw Izuku's state...she burst into tears. She couldn't believe that her little girl had gotten injured like this... I walked up to Inko and hugged her leg. She looked down to me and kneeled down hugging me as tears streamed down her face. In between sobs she said to me, "Thank you Katsuki..thank you for saving my little Izuku...it means the world to me. I don't know what would happen if I lost her forever...but...how did you save her?" Inko let go as I explained how I did it. She was shocked that I was able to save her like I did. She was happy that I knew CPR and what to do if that happened. "Again...thank you...I'm gonna stay here for awhile before the doctor takes care of her. If you want Katsuki...if you want to visit her...I can bring you..." I gave her a small smile and thanked her as I nodded. My mom said that she was gonna go home. I said my last goodbyes before leaving, both Izuku and her mom...I wonder when Izuku will wake up..
