Chapter 6: disaster

After we cleaned the house, Marc and I went up to the room so he can help me on some school work I missed out on. I hate calculus, and physiology. He helped get through calculus, then it came physiology, oh the pain haha not really but I somewhat hate it. After I got my work finished he looks at me and smiles.

"What?" I asked smiling and looking at him.

"Your beautiful" he says smiling. I blushed and looked away.

"Shit" he says looking at his watch then he hopped up.

"What babe?" I said looking at him.

" I have a family dinner to go to" he said as he put on his shoes.

"Oh okay want me to come or nah?" I said as I chuckled a little.

"Sure they boys can come too let me call my mom" he said smiling wide as he pulled out his phone and called his mum. I got up and grabbed a cocktail dress and my heals then went to my bathroom. I texted the boys to get ready, as I stripped and put the dress on.

I put on my heals, walked out and grabbed my phone. I saw Marc on the bed with his head in his hands. I walked over to my boyfriend and sat down. I put my hand on his back and his head came up a bit. I saw that he had been crying, I felt so bad like I was gonna cry I don't like seein him hurt.

"Baby what's wrong?" I asked hearing the sincerity in my voice.

"It's my mom, she's in the hospital" he said as he wiped his eyes. I opened up my arms to him, he took the offer and hugged me and started to cry.

"Sh baby it's gonna be okay I promise if you want we will go up there and see her" I said trying to calm him down. I ran my hand through his hair as the other one was rubbing his back. he looked at me and nodded, I wiped a few tears that ran down his face.

"Well the Let's get up and go see your beautiful mum the boys can still come if you want." I said he knew that the boys and him were now family so he nodded and we both stood up and walked downstairs. they boys laughing then stopped and looked at us and instantly frowned seeing Marc's puffy eyes from crying and the sadness on my face. they all stood up and waved at us to come over to them, we did as they motioned. They pulled us into a hug, and asked us what happened. We pulled away from them, I took his hand and he squeezed it alittle.

"My mom is in the hospital I need to go see her" Marc explained what happened.

"Let's go see your mum" Niall said he was also so sincere In situations like this. we all nodded and went out to the cars besides Zayn because Perrie was coming to visit him. we all got into the cars and drove off to the hospital the boys followed us since we took his truck. The car ride was silent, I sat in the middle next to him and held his hand. We pulled in and parked, we got out and he ran into the building we all ran after him, he asked a nurse where she was.

"Boys stay here" I said as I followed Marc. we reached her room, as we walked him his mom opened her eyes a little bit. she was really beautiful, but sick I hated seeing someone older then me sick. He grabbed a chair and pulled it up to the bed, he sat down as he grabbed her hand.

"Hey b- baby boy" she said softly.

"Hi momma, I am sorry I wasn't there" he said holding back his tears. I stood off to the side.

"It's not your fault it was unexpected. " she said reassuring him.

" But still" he said he let a few tears slip.

"Hey who's that pretty little girl over there" his momma said addressing to me. he waves me over.

"Momma this is my girlfriend, Cora" he said then looked at me and said " Cora this is my mom Lisa"

"It's lovely to meet you ma'am " I said smiling softly.

"Please call me mom and it's my pleasure, I'm sorry you have to meet me like this" she said smiling sadly.

"No worries ma'am Marc was right you are beautiful, sick or not " I smiled

"Why thank you Cora" she chuckled and smiles then looked over to her sad son and said " she's a keeper" and she winked. We both chuckle. then The doctor came in with a sad expression

"Ma'am your cancers back" he said. A tear slipped down my face I knew what it was like to loose someone to cancer.

"How bad" mum and Marc asked.

"Really bad we can't do anything about it.. I'm sorry" he said and walked out. that's all it took for Marc, he got up and ran out crying.

"I am sorry you have to see this Cora" she said tears falling from her face.

"It's okay mum I know what it's like to have a loved one with cancer" I said.

"Oh I'm sorry honey" she said.

"Don't be mum it's okay get some rest I'll calm him down I promise" I said she nodded and smiled.

"One more thing" she said and I looked at her and smiles softly. "Promise me that you will love him forever"

" I promise " I smiled and went after him.

Marc's P.O.V

I ran out crying when I found out that my mom was gonna die of cancer. she loved Cora and so do I but right now I needed to be alone, I went to the boys.

"Don't tell Cora where I went" I said they nodded then left. I got in my truck and went To my brother Daniels house I parked and went to the door. I knocked..no answer... I knocked again..no answer... I banged on the door.

"Answer the door!!" I yelled and with that he owned the door and saw my face. I pushed passed him and walked inside. I wanted to hit something, but I kept pacing back and forth.

"Bro what's wrong calm down and talk to me" Daniel said.

"How do you expect me to calm down when I know mom could die because of cancer!!!" I yelled and punched his wall.

"What?!" He said " I thought it was gone"

"It was bit it came back" I said I started slowing down then sat down.

" Oh no" he said his head in his hands.

"I need to stay here for a bit I can't go home to Cora and the boys like this." I said.

"Who's Cora?" He asked "you can stay here though"

"My girlfriend. thanks" I went to the guest room and passed out in the bed.
