Our Love Arrived at the Speed of Sound - Part One

You ran along, trying to get away from the one who is trying to track you down. Dr. Robotnik-you didn't know why he wanted you, but the name struck fear inside of your heart. He had tried to experiment on you, for what ever reason, and for a reason you didn't plan on finding out. You ran as fast as you could-you knew your enemy was following you. But suddenly, things happened quickly. You tripped, and fell to the ground, shaking. And Dr. Robotnik was right behind you in his machine.
Dr. Robotnik: "Well, well. It seems I have you trapped now, don't I?" *The evil genius laughs in a sickening voice*
You cover your face and tremble, afraid of what would happen next. Suddenly, you hear him shout in rage.
Dr. Robotnik: "It's that BLASTED hedgehog...AGAIN! Always ruining my plans!" *He exclaims angrily*
You look up in surprise, to find a blue hedgehog with a big grin, facing the doctor. You could see he had already managed to destroy a few of of Robotnik's robots.
Blue Hedgehog: "Hey, Egghead! Long time no see! Guess you've taken up messing with strangers now, huh?" *He says in a carefree tone*
You stare at him in shock, glad he arrived to help save you from this cruel villain.
Dr. Robotnik: "Sonic! Now you know it dearly annoys me when you call me that! It is time I finish you off once and for all!" *He declares, and large robots appear behind him*
You stare at the robots, then your gaze settles back on the hedgehog. What is he going to do to them? Sonic smirks at the robots, then starts running around them. He curls himself into a blue ball and hit them in the middle multiple times-causing them to explode-all while the doctor stares in dismay.
Sonic: "Guess you'd better focus on getting better robots, huh, Eggman? Might help you make a challenge for me!" *He says in a sassy tone before grinning widely again*
He then curls into another blue ball and attacks the villain.
Dr. Robotnik: "ARRGH! I HATE you, you little blue PEST!" *He exclaims as he climbs back in his machine and flies away*
Sonic then laughs, and you look at him, surprised at how he handled the situation, and further surprised at how carefree he takes things. You're also surprised at how fast the blue hero can go. He then goes over to you and reaches out his hand to you. He helps you up, the grin still spread out on his face.
Sonic: "Hey there! You OK? Egghead didn't hurt you any, did he?" *He questions, and you nod, relieved he came to help you*
You: "No, I'm fine. Who are you? I heard the doctor call you...Sonic?" *You ask curiously*
The blue hedgehog nods, smiling again and giving you a thumbs-up.
Sonic: "You got that right! I'm Sonic-Sonic the Hedgehog! Faster than the speed of sound, smarter than anyone else here."
You stare at him, realizing he has a rather large ego.
You: "Are you famous or something?" *You question*
Sonic bursts out into laughter, then after about a minute he stops.
Sonic: "Famous? Everyone knows me!" *He says, only surprised for a second you haven't heard of him*
Though, he quickly recovers from his surprise.
Sonic: "You have a name?" *He asks, and you give him a quick nod*
You: "I'm Y/N! Nice to meet you, Sonic. Thanks for helping me out of that!" *You tell him gratefully, and he grins and nods*
Sonic: "No problem, Y/N! Eggman's easy to deal with, if you know how to destroy everything he makes-like me!" *He responds, then laughs again*
You smile. This hedgehog is funny.
Sonic: "Hey, I gotta go and meet up with some of my friends, Y/N." *He suddenly tells you*
You: "Okay, well, maybe we'll meet up again soon." *You say hopefully, wanting to know more about this interesting hedgehog*
Sonic grins and nods, winking at you.
Sonic: "I know we will-it's hard to miss someone who everyone knows." *He says, and you giggle*
You: "Obviously! Well, I'll see you later then, Sonic. Thanks again for rescuing me!" *You respond, waving to him*
Sonic: "And again, no problem!" *He answers, giving you a cocky grin and another thumbs-up*
You smile and do the same thing, before turning around and going back to your home. What an interesting day-escaping from Dr. Robotnik, running from him, almost getting caught by him, meeting-and getting saved-by Mobius' Hero, Sonic the Hedgehog. The thought of meeting him again and getting to know him better cheers you as you approach your home. You had met the fastest thing alive today, and you had learned a few things about him-mostly that he is carefree and has a huge ego. Nevertheless, it doesn't matter to you if he is proud-you're still looking forward to seeing him again and getting better acquainted to him.
