Full Moons, Gotta Love Them

It's been about a few weeks and school is going great! I know, shocking right? Not only are people being my friend, but some bow in respect. There are a hand full of kids that cower away in fear from me, but I don't know why. My teachers smile every time they see me because I'm so smart and pay close attention in class. Well not today that is.

I'm sitting in math class taking notes for extra credit when I get this weird feeling in my chest. I try to clear my throat, but its still there.

"Fiona, is the room a little stuffy?" I whisper, we put Fiona in school with me by the way.

"No, are you okay?" she asked, I nodded and we went back to listening, well she did. I just kind of sat there.

"Kate?" Ms. Styles asked.

"I'm sorry what was the question?" I said, I heard some gasps come from the class.

"Oh, well we're doing a quick review so the problem is 5(-3x - 2) - (x - 3) = -4(4x + 5) + 13. I'll write it on the board, you can come solve it" she said, shocked that I wasn't paying attention. I got up when she finished writing and took the chalk. I was doing the problem right when a thought of Tristan without a shirt on popped in my head. I broke the chalk in half in shock.

"Sorry" I said clearing my throat and finishing the problem, My answer was X= No solution.

"Um, oh wow, that's actually wrong" she said, the class was stunned quite. I was shocked and looked for mistake, when I found it I wanted to smack myself so hard. My new answer is 0=0 X= all real numbers.

"Okay, now its right, you can have a seat" she said and patted my shoulder. I nodded my head and turned around to everyone looking at me, Vicky and Fiona are looking at me like 'What the fuck man?'. I went back to my seat with a panic look on my face.

"Fiona, what day is it?" I whispered.

"It's the 14th, why?"

"Its the full moon tonight isn't it?" her eyes went wide. If your wondering, yes I told Fiona about Tristan.

"Oh shit"

"Oh shit in deed"

We finished class with me just looking out the window, debating weather Tristan will come and find me. The thing about a full moon is if your old enough, which I am, you change into your wolf. You can't help it, if you try not to, you'll change really slow, making it a lot more painful. When in wolf form, your wolf takes over and its basically mating night. If you have your mate already, you kind of knows what happens then, if you catch my drift.

If you don't have a mate, or you reject your mate (me and Tristan) then you find your new mate. You will spend the night with them howling and cuddling and getting to know them. Also every full moon a alpha is introduced, so there's that too. When-

"Alright, class is dismissed! Kathrine, may I talk to you when everyone leaves?" Ms. Styles asked.

"We'll see you in lunch" Vicky said as her and Fiona left the class. Ms. Styles walked to my table and sat in the chair in front of me.

"Kate, you seem, off lately, is there anything wrong?"

"No"

"Stop lying"

"I'm not"

"There has to be something wrong. You usually pay attention and answers every question right. Today your answering wrong and looking out the window."

"I promise, there nothing wrong" I said.

"Don't make promises' you can't keep" I just stared at the thirty year old and she sighed.
