Bismillah.
Focus on One
The world is full of distractions
Everyone and everything trying to get your attention
From mobile games to social media
Even the engagement of so much drama.
As human beings we get tricked and we forget
Missing our salah because we're so addicted
Then there'll be the need to feel accepted and belonged
We fall into sins and have our own souls wronged.
We numb it all out with entertainment
Not wanting to follow Allah's commandments
Shaytan whispers to our ears with fake promises
That there's nothing wrong in having a little enjoyment.
But the waste of time can be our biggest regret
Once we are asked and tested in our graves
How have we spent our lifetime here on earth?
Did we worship Allah? Or were we too busy playing PUBG?
The heart cannot be happy with the band aid ways
We can deceive ourselves and claim that this is the kind of life we deserve
The afterlife is what we must prepare for
Hence we must focus on One, The Sole Merciful Creator.
Our days must revolve around pleasing Allah
Our tasks well - managed so as not to miss any salah
If we make Allah the center of everything in our every day
Then we shall be blessed, forgiven and guided in every way.
So let us unmask the blindness of our hearts
And carry on to a better start
Know that the only purpose of our creation
Was to worship Allah alone without any association.
Let's disentangle ourselves from the wrong influences
Let's not displease Allah by seeking to please the masses
The heart can get corrupted by repeating ill mistakes
Discipline ourselves and stop those bad habits.
Most of all, follow the Sunnah
Apply our moral values
Do not spread gossips
Do not create conflicts.
Be tolerant
Avoid judgement
Leave that which does not concern us
Thank people for their kindness.
These and more are the things we have ignored
As we were too caught up in our own superficial world
But in shaa Allah, we are back on track and it's not yet too late
For every struggling Muslim to start focussing on HIM.
Allahumma Ameen.
