I have no excuse for my hiatus other than an utter lack of motiviation. I'm so sorry guys, really. I know I've lost a lot of readers for the gaps between chapters and I am sincerely sorry for the time lapses. I feel like this chapter jumps around a little, just because it was a little difficult getting back into the swing of things, but I hope it was worth the wait. I love every one of you patient fans ^_^ and I also want to apologize for any plot gaps, I just forget what's going on from chapter to chapter sometimes...so, sorry again, Any how. Enjoy, lovelies.

Sweaty bodies moved together as one under the cover of black lights and thumping music. My heart pounded against my ribcage, almost as if it were a frantic bird in a cage, desperate to break free of its constraints. Andy was pressed tightly against me, his hips moving roughly against mine as we melted together in the heat of the moment. His hands felt heavy on my hips, his lips leaving trails of fire on my skin as he brushed them lightly against my ear and whispered words I couldn’t quite make out through the noise. It was almost as if I were hypnotized, almost as if the music was infiltrating my senses and taking root there, leaving me to be easily swayed and bent to my partner’s will. My mind was foggy with adrenaline and lust, yet to be contaminated by the bitter tendencies of alcohol. And I was, for once, actually having a good time.

            And then, it was over.

The song ended and soon enough, the boys were dragging Cortnee and I back over to the bar to cool down. The spell had seemingly broken as that particular beat had come to a close, leaving me out of breath and covered in sweat.

“Having fun yet?” Andy asked, bringing his glass to his lips and licking some of the condensation away before allowing the drink to spill over his taste buds.

I forced a smile and took a drink of my Pepsi while nodding. I attempted to catch my roommate’s eye, however, she was far too wrapped up in the other boy, Jeremy, to pay any attention to what I was doing. I had a feeling he would end up in our room by the end of the night.

“Maybe once we’re finished here, you ladies could come back with us to our apartment,” Andy suggested.

I turned my attention back to him. “Um, I don’t know…” I answered hesitantly. “I have a lot of stuff to get done back at the dorm…” The excuse sounded lame even to me, but I wasn’t one for going home with random men.

His lips fell into a pout. ”Aw come on, now. Don’t be like that. You don’t have to stay long. Just come and hang out for a little bit, that’s all.”

I knew he probably intended on doing a little more than just hanging out and that’s why I refused yet again. However, he and Jeremy both seemed intent on changing my mind. I guess what Jeremy didn’t realize was that Cort would likely go even if I didn’t.

“You have to come, Cass! Please,” my roommate begged, jutting out her lower lip at me.
