Chapter Thirty six

The next morning
Y/n's Point Of View

I woke up on the couch I sat up with a yawn looking around everything was quiet almost to quiet 'I must have fallen asleep while reading' I thought getting up I still had Kate's gun in my holster I took it out looking at it, I put it away as I heard a knock at the door I walked to the door opening it I saw a boy with burnett hair and dark chocolate eyes. I crossed my arms looking at him "Can I help you?" I asked looking at him he looked nervous "U-uh I wanted to apologize for my dad and last night" he murmured, I leaned against the door frame "I'm guessing your Ron the boy who spoke to me as soon as I walked in" I replied sarcastically he looked down shamefully "I-" I quickly cut him off "I don't wanna hear it, if you wanted to talk to me then you could have just approached just because I grew up outta walls doesn't mean I'm some type of savage" I said glaring at him.

I closed the door and sighed "Who was that?" I turned around to see a very tired Carl "It was some kid coming to welcome us" I lied, he walked over to me and hugged me laying his head in the crook of my neck "Your lying, your tense and I can feel the anger radiating off your body." He said softly. His voice sent shivers down my spine I heard him chuckle "Come back to bed" he murmured tiredly I chuckled slightly "It's time to get up, we've got work to do. Deanna is giving us our jobs today" I said, I heard him groan and I let out a small sweet laugh.

After me and Carl has woken up and got dressed the two of us made our way to Deanna's house I knocked on the door and Spencer opened it, he looked at me and smiled "Ah Y/n good to see you my mother is waiting for you and the boy in the family room" he said looking at me with a happy smile. I nodded and me and Carl made our way into the family room Deanna was reading a book drinking a cup of coffee she looked up as we walked in "Carl and Y/n good to see you two, I hope you two enjoyed your relaxation." She said putting her book down.

I smiled "We had a great night" I said smiling she nodded and pulled out her notebook "So since you two grew up outside of walls, I'm giving you two some more mature jobs but you will be separated. We'll start off small so Y/n you'll be out scavenging with....." she trailed off and turned the page "Tara, Noah, Glenn,Nicholas and my son Aiden" she said I nodded she flipped the page again "Carl you'll be going out with your dad, Daryl and Michonne clearing any walkers and whatnot" she said looking at the burnette boy.

He nodded "Y/n Aiden and the rest will meet you at the gates, go get what you need and head out as soon as possible. Carl your dad told me to tell you to meet him in his house" she said, we nodded and got up leaving I broke into a run heading to mine and Carl's house while Carl took his sweet time clearly not wanting to do this. I ran into our house and I grabbed my katana I ran back out heading for the armory I walked inside, a slightly chubby girl looked at me "Anything you need?" She asked fixing her glasses I nodded "Yeah a box of pistol ammunition" I said. She nodded and wrote it down walking into the back room and coming back put with a box of ammo I thanked her and I quickly left, I saw Tara talking with Eugene she looked irritated I ran up to them "Hey what's up?" I asked looking at the two.

Tara looked at me "Eugene here wants us to look for something for him, and I think that we should bring him with" she said, Eugene sighed "Fine I will accompany you but I assure you I will not be any help to this mission" he said I pinched the bridge of my nose "Okay Eugene if you don't cut the smart talk I assure you I'll fucking kill you" I said mocking him at the 'assure' part. He looked at me and nodded Aiden called us over and told us to load into the van I climbed in the back and sat down, Noah sat next to me then Glenn Tara across from me and Eugene across from Noah and obviously Nichols and Aiden where in the front.

Soon some loud music started playing and we where off the car ride was loud and obnoxious I looked over at Tara who looked as pissed off as me, I then looked over at Noah who was trying to have a conversation with Gelnn about something I looked at the front and saw Nicholas and Aiden jamming out. Nicholas looked behind him at me and winked at me I flipped him off and he looked back up front and talked with Aiden, I sighed pinching the bridge of my nose I was starting to get a headache from this music I looked up at Tara and she looked at me 'I'm going to kill them' I mouthed to her.

She nodded and soon the music turned off and the car came to a rumbling stop Aiden looked back at us "Yall ready to do this?" He asked I didn't give him a response I was already opening the van door and getting out, I heard Aiden shout at me a walker was walking in my direction I pulled put my katana and I sliced it's head open. Aiden and the rest ran toward me "What the hell kid?!" He shouted getting in my face Glenn walked up to him shoving him "Back off, let's just fucking get this done and over with" Glenn said walking towards the building.
