Joey's POV
It's 3:20! I could hear Shane pulling up into the drive way. I caught myself fixing my hair in the mirror but, the. I looked away and fell on the couch. Shane walked in, he looked glum not his usually peppy attitude.
" Hey Shane, come sit." I say uncomfortably.
" Hey.. is Sawyer home?" Shane mumbles.
I looked around and shook my head.
" We need to talk.." He says looking down.
Please, this can't be the end of our friendship. Not over a kiss. I secretly was crossing my fingers and toes.
" What's up?" I say moving a centimeter closer.
He moved back a little, took a deep breath and open his mouth.
" Well, I...I can't stop replaying the... event last night.." He stumbly said.
"...... Me either." I say quickly
" What are we gonna do? Forget it happened which is inevitable, and we're both in relationship.."
All my thoughts were racing through my head as if they were running a marathon.
"Uh.. Shane I just... don't be mad." I say as I lean into Shane and press my lips against his. For this moment it felt right. Even better than kissing Meghan. Wow that's... why am I doing this.
He was kissing me back, intensely. I pulled away and closed my eyes and layed back on the couch.
" Don't say..." Shane cut me off.
"Yeah, I know.... I gotta go." He got up and walked out the door.
Joey, you need to think before you kiss. Ugh!
